There is a lot of places online that sells paper lanterns for about $3-6 depending on the size that you want. Just google "paper lantern"

I am planning to buy about 100 lanterns in white, pink and green. My wedding date is June 6 2008. Let me know if anyone is interested in buying them from me afterwards.

http://www.asianideas.com has a huge selection in a bunch of sizes and colors that aren’t expensive.  Of course you also have to buy separate light kits to go in them or use Christmas lights.

note that that low price probably doesn’t include lights – if you want to see them in the dark you’ll need to get LED lights, or get expensive lanterns that are battery powered.

Try Lunabazaar.com

I just ordered a few samples (colored ones in different sizes/styles), they have all price ranges.

It is worth a shot!!

I got some at World Market for pretty cheap, though they were on sale because the store was closing… but it might be somewhere to look.  Good luck!
