I didn’t, but I love the idea of them! They would work really well for an evening ceremony, or be very cozy for a fall/winter wedding 🙂  Or even spring or at the beach! Here are some inspiration photos from google :

@laceydoilies:  I love this idea! It would be so pretty and elegant for an evening ceremony..or anytime of day actually!

@laceydoilies:  Probably my favorite alternate-bouquet choice. Looks so pretty and elegant.

I think lanterns are a billion times better. They look prettier, cost less, and don’t wither and die.

This is such an awesome idea! You really should do it!

Lanterns would also make much better permanent keepsakes than flowers 🙂

@laceydoilies:  It could be cute, but I probably wouldn’t have the groomsmen carry the lanterns personally. However, I did have ours take this photo hehe :

Maybe your fiancé can weigh in on the subject?

My 3 bridesmaids carried lanterns instead of bouquets.  We had battery operated candles in them just in case.  I loved loved that we went that route instead of bouquets, and then they could keep the lanterns afterwards.
