Lanterns or Not?

I'm attaching a picture of the inside of our reception site that I found online. There are a lot of glass doors so that you can see out to the marsh - and everything is very natural. I'm most likely doing white linens, and maybe bamboo chairs with a hot pink cushion or chair tie to add pops of color.

Do y'all think I should do paper lanterns in the beams? If so, how many?

Hmm tricky question, I am in love with lanterns, but I think your venue would be gorgeous without them :)

I say spend your money elsewhere and skip the lanterns.  I think the place looks great w/o them.

I also think the place looks great without lanterns.    In fact the beams have a really nice look to them.  Lanterns might muddle up the clean lines.  And, just to toss out my wedding motto, why spend the money if you don't need to?

No lanterns...it is stunning without them.  Showcase the beams for what they are!

I agree with no lanterns.  The ceiling looks beautiful as is.

If your sold on the idea of paper lanterns, I would put them in a line down the middle where the beams meet using just 8-10 larger lanterns. I think that would add a nice dramatic effect without looking overdone.

I agree with the other posters that no lanterns are needed.  But, if you wanted to use them, you could use them to hilight an area, like just over the dance floor or something...

YAY! Thanks!! Defintely makes me happy not to spend the extra money - plus I think with a few pops of color on the chairs, it'll look great. I appreciate all your input!!

You can also dim the lights to create a more romantic mood after the sun goes down, and there is a good amount of uplighting as well, so I think we're good.

I agree, skip them.  Spend the money someplace else.  The venue is beautiful.
