I bought letters from Kohls they are so nice and they can be used two ways. Table top or hang on the wal decor. They are dark bown and beautiful, check out Kohls!
@amberdawn1064: bummer - the closest kohls is quite a drive from here. Maybe I'll have my sister go check them out and see if she can find them. Thanks!
Here's a post from a bride who made her own as she wasn't able to find letters the size she needed

I have seen large letters at Michaels and Joann's.
I have also seen the larger letters at Joanns and Michaels, and no, we will not be including our initials anywhere at our wedding because they would just go to waste after the wedding.
Hi Bees - I tried Joanns and Michaels last weekend here in L.A. and Santa Monica and neither store is carrying them anymore. I really want to find them b/c they are our initials and the location of where our nuptials are happening :( Bummer!
Paper Source has 8 inch initials but they aren't large enough for the photos. Any other ideas?
@fuschiasparkles: did you see them recently? I was told Michaels doesn't carry them anymore. Maybe I should call other stores.............
If you want floral-covered letters like the ones in the picture, those would be really easy to diy. Print out the letters in the size/font you want, trace onto cardboard or foamcore, hotglue flowers on! You could also check Etsy or this website has tons of wooden letters for sale: http://www.craftcuts.com/
i found mine at michaels and covered them with silver sparkle.. you could cover them with flowers too! order online
@chelseaRichard: those are awesome! Sadly Michaels doesn't carry them in L.A. anymore :(
Hobby Lobby? We got lucky and my FMIL gave us some black ones at the engagement party. Also try a hardware store with a large wood selection. You can find raw wood ones to paint yourself.
They are normally sold at any craft stores in the raw wood section. I got mine at Michaels and ones for cards at hobby lobby! I painted mine pink then added crystals! Good luck!
I live nearby and just saw then at Joanne's a week ago. You cant go to any Joanne's, it has to be one of the big ones like the Rancho Cucamonga, Temecula, moreno valley store. Also they have them online.
@15happyyears: can you tell me which joanns you went to? they are sold out of the initial "a" online. I tried to call Darice directly in Ohio but the rep knew less than I did about their inventory in Southern California.

Hi bees - is anyone using cardboard initials at their wedding? where did you find them? Our initials are L and A and we are getting married in L.A. so I thought it would be fun for the backs of our chairs at the reception. Any thoughts? are you incorporating your initials somewhere and how are you tying them into your theme?
