We’re moving into our new build in about a month. Most Excited!
We have a split entry with a wall that faces our living room. Unfortunately don’t have a picture to show it. It’s to the right of our front door when you walk in and you will be staring right at it while sitting on the couch.
So I’m looking for some ideas on what to hang there. We have a large painting we think we’ll hang above the door but is really only a good size for above the door, not the large empty wall. I’m not a metal art person unless its more modern. Not into the flowery or swirly haven’t ones.
Anyone have any ideas or maybe some pinspiration? Lol. I can paint so maybe I can find a large canvas some photos or ideas you might have would be extremely helpful.

Almost forgot… I don’t like vinyl wall decals either. Options are running out, huh?

Hmmm. Not art, we had this dilemma for the space above our couch and ended up putting a huge mirror above it. It makes the room look bigger and reflects light which is exactly what we need.

I was going to suggest mirror as well. Or those art sets you know where there’s three mini canvases but they’re supposed to be hubg together. Hard to suggest w/o pics.

We have a big gallery wall. I went to the thrift store and bought about 35 frames for maybe $30, and spray painted them all black so they look more cohesive. Eventually I will get actual prints for all of them, but in the mean time I just printed out whatever I fancied (our printer prints quite well) and put photos in some of the others.

A collage of frames and mirrors or long ledges to set the frames on. You could do a pattern on the wall itself. Also 3 or 5 large square frames with big mats will make a big clean looking impact.

what i think is kinda cool are seperate frames with black mattes inside with bright colored feathers pressed inside….also maybe decorative plates that are antique or just random colored/sized plates to put in a mix-matched pattern?
Try going to livenetwork.com and look up lisa quinn on the bottom of the page…she has awesome ideas! cheap and affordable:)
