Weddingbee boards

My sister actually went to vegas and got married. They sent out invitations because the place they were getting married at actually aired the wedding over the internet from the chapels sit so she sent invitations telling how to get on to the website and when to watch for the wedding that way all of the family could watch that couldnt fly to vegas. Then a week after the wedding when they got back we threw them a reception to do the cake and dance. It turned out really nice. We followed through with the vegas them and did budget friendly decorations of poker chips on the table(which we got from ebay) playing cards and dice on the table too....I even made her candle holders out of the poker chips. We did a traditional wedding cake but where their was the beading draped around the cake we added vegas charms like dice, slot machine, black jack cards, ect! All turned out really good. My mom, sisters and I took over planning the reception that way they were not stressed about it!

BTW I think its a great way to get married....do a honeymoon and marriage all in one then come back and have the big party.......way cheaper!

It's a good idea, but make sure that you will be okay with it and will regret doing it in lieu of a big wedding. I remember at the earlier stages of planning, we got frustrated and started looking at Vegas as well. But then I thought about all that I would be missing and sucked it up. If it will make you happy, do it! I've been to a wedding in Atlantic City and it was so FUN!

Yes she had her best friend and some of her closest friends from work there for their wedding. My parents couldnt be there for the fact out mom can not fly do to health reasons!

We did her save the dates out of poker chips....we used the round silver invitation seals and typed their names and date on them stuck the sticker in the middle of the poker chip....then we added a square magnet to the back and made a save the date postcard with save the date on it...they turned out pretty good!

How we decorated her retangle tables!

The candle holders I made her: I placed the candle down on the table and then layed a layer of poker chips around the candle. Then for the second layer I hot glued anouther layer on top of the first lay by doing a brick pattern. This way they would over lap and hold in place....I continued to do this until I got the hight I wanted!
