Some "non vegas" things are:
Hike Mt. Charleston or Redrock canyon
Tour the Hoover Dam
Sky diving (indoor and outdoor)
Eat at Viva Mercado's-the best Mexican food EVER
The Springs Preserve
Cactus Garden/ Ethel M. chocolate factory
I lived in Vegas for a couple years. Let me know if you need more ideas!
pool/laying out/pool parties
night clubs/lounges
fancy dinners
hiking
seeing shows (wait till you get there, you can get good deals)
walking around with giant margaritas / going into different hotels and seeing how cool they are
I LOVE Vegas and I don't gamble. This day and age, I think thats only a part of Vegas, most people don't go just to gamble. Have fun, you'll love it!
You can take a helicopter ride to the Grand Canyon!
Oh! And beer pong at the Irish bar.
Neither of us had been to Vegas until our mini moon right after our wedding. We went for 4 days. Neither of us are gamblers so we did all the other attractions.
Our favorites...
- Cirque 'Love' show
- Hoover Dam Tour (Booked with a tour company. The bus picked us up at 9:30, we did a tour of the Dam, stopped at a look out point at Lake Meed, then went to Ethel's Chocolate Factory and Botanical Cactus Garden. We were back at our hotel by 3:30) If you want the info, message me.
- Walked the strip. It was HOT in July so we had to walk in and out of the hotels just to cool off.
- LOVED watching the fountains in front of the Bellagio
- We also did the Wax Museum and the Dolphin Exibit. Both were neat.
I am glad you posted this :) My FI and I are also having our honeymoon is Las Vegas due to budget reasons.
We are planning to see Love by Cirque du Soleil and also go to the Price Is Right Show. The gondola at the Venetian is another romantic thing to do :)
DH and I spent hours just wandering in and out of all the casinos on the strip, cheap and entertaining!
Also check out the coupon books that you can find almost anywhere - heaps of good deals and freebies galore!

So, we're broke from the wedding, so it's a mini-moon in Las Vegas for us. I'm actually looking forward to it. I haven't been to Vegas in over 15 years and I am sure quite a bit has changed.
I know there is the usual stuff to do: Drink, lounge by a pool, shows, gamble, drink, look at hotels, drink....
What other is there to do in Vegas these days?
