@Pink Asawa:  No scarring, but will definitely go back after the wedding to re-do bikini line and touch up the underarms. You definitely need more than 7 sessions ha! A friend of mine has had everything done (underarms, full bikini, legs) and it took her a year for each area to be completely treated. I tried to speed up the process & it didn’t work as well for me!

It’s a long process but it works, I used to have a snail trail (line f hair up to my belly button) I had treatment for it several years ago, while there are a few hairs now, it’s nothing compared to what it was like. I was getting my legs and bikini line done as well but I’ve had to put that on hold because I can’t afford it with the wedding planning, but as soon as the weddings over, I’m starting it up again. You need quite a few sessions but I would say if you stick with it it’s worth it.

One thing to consider is that it only really works well on pale skin and dark hair (which is what I’ve got, hence why I’ll do anything to get rid of it).

I did LHR and I’m addicted.  I’ve done my underarm and bikini line.  I’m Italian, so my hair is really dark and corse, which is supposed to be ideal for LHR.  I’ve had great results on those two areas. One time the lady upped the laser settings and I did get some minimal scarring on the bikini line, but it went away after 2 or 3 weeks.  I told them about it on my next visit and they went back to the previous settings.

I also tried to do my face (sideburn area) but the hair wasn’t dark enough, so it didn’t really work, plus I broke out.

The only downfall I’ve run in to is that it’s really NOT permanent.  The hair will eventually grow back and you’ll need touch ups.  But I think it’s totally worth the money. I’m thinking about adding on legs next :)))

I cannot recommend laser hair removal enough.  I got it done underneath my arms and my bikini line. I would shave under my arms in the morning and by the afternoon, I had so much stubble it looked like I hadn’t shaved.  Once I knew I had the time to get the process done before the wedding, I went for it.

The first 2 sessions hurt a bit, but it wasn’t completely unbearable. I for one, cannot take continous pulses when they do it, I need them to go one pulse at a time. It’s amazing how much hair has fallen out and not grown back. I have probably shaved 3 times since January…no joke.

    TOTALLY WORTH every penny!!!!

@Pink Asawa:  I bought 6 sessions for each area.  So after those 6 sessions are up, I’ll have to buy another 6 sessions.  I’d say touch ups every 4-6 months.

Definitely do your underarms.  Even if it grows back between sessions, it’s super fine and you only have to shave once a week or so.  It does not grow back thick! I had the same issue w/ it hurting to shave everyday.  It is SO worth it.

I’ve always been curious… does hair grow back after pregnancy with all the hormones?

@Pink Asawa:  I have only had positive results and I have the light skin/dark course hair.  I think right now I’ve done 6 sessions, I have 6 left. I think at this point, they will basically be touch ups. You won’t lose the hair 100%, but there are so few and they come in so fine that I think once I am done with all the sessions, I’ll just wax those so they always grow back that fine.

The underarms hurt worse than the bikini (odd, I know!) There are many nerve endings under your arm and that is the reason why. I always get under my arms done first and then go to the bikini when I go, such a breeze!

I’ve done my underarms, upper legs and bikini line. It works great however the blond hairs do come back. Whatever comes back, doens’t come back as fast or as coarse. So you still have to shave or wax. It’s just not as much.

Also hair is hormonal, so any changes in your hormones will make the hair return.

Did my entire bikini area, and I could not be happier! Best it was the best decision I have ever made. Groupon always has good deals for laser hair removal.

Not to threadjack, but what does it cost? I’ve considered it but have no idea of what it would cost!

MrsTillerResq  It varies hugely.  What I found was that Groupon or Living Social (not sure if they have that in the USA) nearly always has some great deals.  The first lot I got cost about £100 per session for a small area (belly – see earlier freakishly hairy woman comment) in the days before groupon.  On Groupon I got £300 for 6 sessions of both full legs and bikini line.  Even then it’s not cheap but I would say it’s worth it.
