I’m in the process of getting my underarms lasered.  I got a good deal on Groupon for 6 teatments for $99.  I’ve have 3 sessions and it’s finally starting to work.  It feels like a little shock but as soon as its over, the pain is gone.

Anyone see the episode of Keeping up with the Kardashians when Kim took Chloe with her and they both got laser hair removal? After I saw it, I immediatly wanted it! It would be way better than shaving I think! How many sessions does one need?

I had it done on my face, finger and toes.  In my opinion it hurts(stinging) and it takes quit a few sessions to get it to work.  I still get a few stragglers but once its done it was great.  I paid $200 and that was as many as it took to get the job done (7 total for me).  Also be very careful if you have color too your skin, I am light brown and I had to do a test spot because it can cause staining.

I did laser hair removal on my face and it didn’t work Cry It was about 5 years ago and I found it to be pretty painful (like a rubber band snapping you repeatedly)  My dermatologist said that the reason it didn’t work was because she could not turn the laser up to the degree required for it to be effective. The one time she tried she ended up burning me pretty badly so she put the laser down a notch but that wasn’t enough to damage the hair follicle (the part that stops it from growing) She was a great doctor but I guess my skin was too sensitive. 5 years ago it cost me 600$ for 6 sessions…

I’m in the process of doing lower leg and braziliam bikini, and I have no complaints whatsoever! It feels kind of pinching pain, but I pop some ibuprofen 15 or so minutes beforehand, and sometimes ice and sometimes not. For both areas, it’s 2800.

I paid 1,200 for underarms and bikini.  It’s not painful – more like little stings.  I have 1 or 2 tender spots where I might have let out a “ouza” but I wouldn’t say it’s painful.  I take ibufrofen before I go in and they usually put ice packs on me before they start.  I would recommend going to a reputable place (licensed nurses and a clean facility).

medispa and dermatologists office is a great place to look into.

I have mixed feelings from mixed reviews~ some people have great results, others have hair grow back after 5 years.

If you are white (or light complected (lol)) with dark hair, you should really be on groupon, lifebooker or any of those other sites and get yourself a laser deal.  You obviously should do your research into the salon, spa, or doctor’s office, but you can get the most amazing laser deals.

*I am a woman of color so we need to use special lasers that not every office has, but I got a groupon for one that did and I am enjoying my hairfree armpits to this day!  YAY!

I got my bikini area lasered at my dermatologist’s office. Now i cannot sugar coat this – i have quite a high threshold but the first two sessions hurt like nothing has ever hurt me before (and i got stitches and got my tooth drilled without anesthesia). I was in tears by the end of it and nothing including the ice packages would not help me.

The best i can describe is boiling hot oil splashing all over the area. Now i think the reason it hurt so bad is because i was getting a VERY effective and strong laser treatment in that after 4 treatments i have had no more hair and this was about 3 years ago. I would go every 6 weeks and each was $350.

Also, upon seeing my pain my dermatologist prepared this concoction and asked me to come in an hour early. This stuff numbed the are for an hour and i have felt absolutely no pain for the last 2 sessions.

I’m having laser hair removal performed on my lady parts, under arms, and full legs. I’ve had 3 treatments so far and it seems to be working! The hair growth is taking much longer to come back, and when it does, it’s super fine. Some spots have already shown signs of no hair growth! Yay!! My armpits and lady parts hurt the most! I request for a stress ball for those areas. My legs don’t hurt as much, but I do have a few tender spots. My package include 6 treatments.
