FireTiger71:  Ok somehow new wedding bee posted for me before I was done….anywho! You must pluck and continue to pluck…no bleaching or tanning. Your skin will be red and welt upwho schedule your appointments for Fridays. I was only ever red for maybe three hours at the longest…but just to be safe I made sure I had the next day off. If anything goes wrong with your skin it won’t last longere then 6 months. I had my underarms done and my full Brazilian & it was the best decision ever. It’s like 75% less hair and the hair that is here is very fine and hardly even noticeable. You have to shave or pluck but do not bleach or do any kind of weirdskin treatments to the area and stay as far away from the sun as you can during your treatments. Good luck!

ForeverAndEverAfter:  Plucking beforehand isn’t a good idea, the hairs that are actively growing result in the best results.

FireTiger71:  I’ve always been told I have to shave beforehand.  If I didn’t do it, they were willing to do it for me, but I just did it myself.  Normally, I wouldn’t want to shave my face, but doing it for a few weeks for a specific reason wouldn’t bother me.  One thing to think about too is that after the treatment is done the hairs under the skin slowly start to fall out, so there’s a few days where you might have a quite dark area.  I would do another less noticeable area first.

As for the BCP, they reduced my hair growth.  When I have a withdrawal bleed my hair suddenly comes in thicker and more of it grows.  I specifically planned my sessions when I was off the pills to get better results.

I have done laser hair removal on my legs, bikini and underarms.  The only way to remove hair before and between sessions is with a razor.  Tweezing or waxing will affect hair growth and then you won’t get the best results. At my clinic, they usually say that to not shave for a couple days before the appointment so they can determine which laser to use.

Thank you for the responses!  I think from what it sounds like I will be better off using it on an area of my body that is not my face!  I can see how it goes and then maybe I will decide to try other areas.
