Ok bees. I need some advice! I am a strawberry blonde girl with no eyelashes. The ones I have are short and blonde. I wear mascara everyday and have come to terms with my deficiency. For my wedding though....

I want lashes! But, I want them to look as natural as possible given the circumstances. (I don't want FH to run screaming in the other direction when I approach him decked out in satin and all "made up.") I had my makeup trial and they put on the individual (grouped) lashes. They looked amazing in pics, but I am unsure how realistic they look in person.

Do any of you have any experiences or recommendations on whether temporary fake eyelashes or lash extensions would be the way to go? I would love your input!!

I don't have any experience with this, but I remember that Miss FroYo had a post about getting lash extensions a while back. I'd read that.

I don't know if you'll see results fast enough for your wedding... but I bought RapidLash online at drugstore.com and it is AMAZING. It seriously made my lashes grow crazy long - they bump against my glasses constantly!

There is a away to get them that will last for about a month and they look natural just make your lashes look fuller. I love the look of them. i want them for my wedding, but I haven't checked on a price yet. I really think the Lash extentions are the way to go as they look more natural

I'm going with lash extensions for my wedding.  Since it would have been my first time, my MUA recommended that I get them about a month beforehand to try out first, and then have a fresh set done the day before the wedding.

I got mine put on 4 days ago and I love them.  For the first couple of days, I felt a little uncomfortable, but now I can't even notice them.  Until I look in the mirror of course.  Everyone I've talked to tells me that they don't look fake.  It just looks like I have crazy awesome lashes!!  They're supposed to last for about 3-4 weeks, so I'll probably get a fill at some point.

I've already booked my appointment for the day before my wedding for a removal and application.

ok. follow up question. i think i have decided that extensions are the way to go.... maybe this is overthinking it, but, i am concerned that the day-to-day extensions won't be enough for the wedding and i heard you are not supposed to apply mascara. i could do the "all out glam" version, but maybe this would be too much for the rest of the time. thoughts?

@icy toes-- Thanks for the recommendation. I'm going to pick some up!

Oh, and can I ask--how long do you think 1 tube lasts?

I bought the one I'm using now 11/29/09 (I just checked my order history) and it is still going... so I couldn't tell you exactly! I use it on my top lashes only, almost every day. If you want everyday longer lashes, but not fake-lash dramatic look, this is the way to go!!

I'm a strawberry blonde too, with non-existent lashs-- and brows, for that matter. I'd love to hear what you decided.

@april_bride: How long did your lashes last after the initial application and refill?  How did you maintain them?  Did you wear mascara?  How did you remove your eye make-up.  Sorry for so many questions!  I want them but I'm worried I'll waste $250+.

    Thanks!

I'd go with false lashes. They are easy to put on and look natuarl. You just have to make sure you buy natural looking ones. If you'd like a more long term option, look into the stuff that grows your own lashes. Lash extensions don't last that long and they are pretty pricy. I wouldn't spend my money on them
