@cindeeeh:  I LOVE MAC brand lashes. They always look amazing and are $10. A little more than drug store brand, but totally worth it. And FYI… you can reuse them, just peel off the glue, a little rubbing alcohol for cleanliness and voila!

“I felt like a dude in the tampon aisle” LOL.

I don’t have a “best” or favorite. I wear different ones depending on the occasion. I am using these for my wedding:  http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/mac-34-lash/2955649?cm_cat=datafeed&cm_ite=m.a.c_34_lash:206631&cm_pla=makeup:women:lash&cm_ven=Google_Product_Ads&mr:referralID=fed59382-2c69-11e3-a88a-001b2166becc

I recommend buying a few sets of cheaper ones and practicing with them if you’re applying yourself.  Definitely took me a handful of times to get good at applying them!

No advice… but I just realized I might want to do fake lashes for my wedding for extra drama, and now I have the same questions you do hahaha.

@cindeeeh:  I love Red Cherry lashes! Another bee told me about them a while back. I bought a lot of them on ebay that included 5 sets for a total of I think like $12. That way I could experiment with different styles. For drug store brands I really like Ardell.

I have been wearing lashes for probably 7 years now… I’d say everyday, but I’m sure there’s a stay at home day I haven’t worn them!

The easiest, and most comfortable lashes I find have a clear band that the lashes are attached to.  The clear bands are thinner, and much more flexible, thus making them a cinch to apply.  Lashes with dark, stiff bands, irritate my eye.  I find the ends on them almost make my eyes itchy, and they poke, no matter how I’ve trimmed them.

And for glue, PLEASE get the dark adhesive, either Duo or Ardel’s lash glue.  My biggest pet peeve is when lashes are applied with white “dry clear” glue, you can see it, and it’s white.

@cindeeeh:  I would suggest eyelash extensions such as (www.xtremehashes.com) or the same. They can be pretty pricey, my boss charges about $350 max for a new full set but they look wonderfully natural and last pretty long, also you wont have to worry about them falling off or runnings, and they are a lot easier than strip lashes. I would say majority of our clients come in for wedding lashes and end up falling in love. They last about 2-3 weeks so you could even have lashes for your honeymoon is it is right after the wedding!

This is what they look like once they’re on, her natural lashes are about half that length.

I wear falsies almost on a daily basis, for work and going-out occasions. Makeup artists I know prefer the softest, most flexible lashes – and they’re usually actually the cheapies you get in the drug store – because they can be moulded easily, and you can cut them up into individual segments for a more natural look. Out of the high-end brands, I like Shu Uemura and Make Up For Ever. MUFE has a great lash glue too (comes with the lashes).

Otherwise, individual lashes are the most natural-looking, but also the trickiest to apply. If you’re getting a MUA on the day, she can do it for you.
