I haven’t planned anything crazy for myself to do, but now you’ve got me thinking that I should plan something. I think it would be a lot of fun, plus it would give me something else to focus on other than the wedding.

I didn’t do anything crazy because I don’t see marriage as limiting my ability to do anything. Since i’ve gotten married, i’ve changed jobs, traveled for 6 months around the world, tackled mastering my dSLR, taken flying lessons from my dad, and moved across country.

People who view marriage as “game over” or as “settling down” either can’t break out of the social sterotype, or are marrying the wrong person! There’s no reason you can’t be just as creative, adventurous, and bold as you were before marriage – now I just have a partner in crime along for the ride!

Wow, good luck tomorrow!  I don’t have anything out of the ordinary planned personally.  I don’t really see “me/us before the wedding” and “me/us after the wedding” as being two separate or different times.  Now “things to do before TTC”….that is a list!  πŸ™‚

When I read this title this was totally not the type of topic I was expecting (I’m pleasantly surprised)! Good luck on your run tomorrow!! Happy thoughts: thinking about injuries is the best way to end up with them. I’ll be sending you good vibes!!

Good luck tomorrow!

I want to go skydiving before the wedding, but that’s mostly because we want to start TTC right after.

@MrsRugbee:  lol! I believe we were having the same thought of mind! Also plesently surprised! whoooosh

I don’t have anything planned either. I’m just so excited about getting to be with my man! I’m all traditional here, so I’ll be moving in on the wedding day with him, and I’m more excited for all those adventures!

Though, I do agree with the point of needing a break from the “stressful” moments or just a break from wedding in general. I normally cure this by crashing at my bestest friends house and proceed to either talk, drink, watch Grey’s, do facials/hair masks, act like we’re 5 or all of those. =)

I wanted to live on my own, which was tricky because I had been basically living with Fiance for a year at the time. I ended up doing an internship in another state. Not really to live on my own, but because it was an amazing career opportunity. I’m really glad I can say I did it though, because for 3 months I pretty much lived by myself in a different state where I didn’t know anyone. I’m young (this was the summer after Jr year of college) and I kinda just wanted to prove to myself that I could do it. Fortunately Fiance forgave me for making us LD for 3 months. And I think it might have sped up us getting engaged (he proposed 2 days before I left, which made me feel terrible when I left). I don’t have any other crazy plans though. Everything else we can do together πŸ™‚

Good luck with the marathon…I find it so cool that people can run long distances. I’m not even sure if I were run if I was being chased πŸ˜‰

That being said, I don’t have anything crazy planned before marriage but Fiance knows that I want to spend 4-6 months backpacking Europe/SE Asia before we have children, and that, if he can’t carve the time to do it (he’ll be working and I will be graduating from school) that I will go on my own. He’s fine with it.
