For all the Mrs. was your last dance of your wedding day/night a slow song or a fast song? I can see a slow song being nice to get all the couples on the dance floor for one last time. But a fast song would be a fun too. What are all the brides to be doing for the last dance? And for the Mrs. what song was it?

I like fast for a last dance.  Haven't thought of the song though.

I also prefer fast and that's what we'll be doing!

Um...this is going to be very cheesy...but our last dance is going to be Journey's Don't Stop Believing haha. It's a classic that EVERYONE loves to sing/dance too...especially when intoxicated :)

I like fast for the last song- get everyone back out on the floor!  We did slow for our second to last song, and then we did "Last Dance" by Michael Buble for the last.  Sigh- wish the night never had to end!!

I like fast songs for the last one. It gets everyone out there!

We did "Here I Go Again" by WhiteSnake for ours. My hubby and I love that song and always sing it during karaoke!

Fast! We're being super cheesy and cliche, and using "Last Dance" by Donna Summer as our last dance song.

    @ sminerva21: us too! LOL

I also considered "Bye Bye Bye" by N'Sync or "Move B*** (Get Out the Way)" by Ludacris but I don't think our grandparents would appreciate  that last one ;)

We went with slow-- "Good Night Sweetheart."  I agree with all the PP about how a fast song gets you out on the floor, but our DJ announced right before he played our last song that it was the last dance of the evening.  EVERYONE came on the floor with their dates/SOs/friends.  It's some of my favorite pictures from the night, because my husband and i were slow dancing in this huge crowd of everyone at the wedding! :)

Ah, the romantic in me would love a slow romantic song, but we haven't gottent hat far in planning yet, so we may end up with a fast song.

It depends on the feel of your wedding. If you are tossing a celebration par-tay - go for a fast song!  If you are going for candle-lit romance, make it a slow one. :)

We requested "Better Together" as our last dance song - it was on our short list for first dance songs, but something else won out for that.  We wanted to dance to it, though, so we had the DJ play it at the end of the night.  A slow song was the best way to end the night!!

I think i would do fast to keep the party going...we all plan on doing an after party @ a bar or club!

Our last dance was "Till There Was You" by the Beatles.  Everyone left earlier than we thought they would, but out dj stayed on through her contracted time.  She continued playing music while we cleaned up from the reception.  :)  My husband and I stopped cleaning up, though, in order to dance to the last song of the night.

Our last dance will probably be "New York, New York" by Frank Sinatra. It holds special meaning to us (even though we're not New Yorkers). Does that count as fast or slow? It's more of a "everybody gather 'round and sing along!" type song. We're trying to keep the slow songs at a minimum at our reception.

We'll probably use Sweet Caroline because at the bar our group hung out at in Bowling Green (college) it was always played at the end of the night. We were friends before dating and I like to think its where we fell in love

We are going to do "Take Me Home Tonight"  faster but not too fast.  It will keep everyone on the dancefloor yelling the words at the top of their lungs.

I was just listening to one of my new favorite songs and thought it would be great for a last dance song! "Smile" by Uncle Kracker! I love the lyrics and how it makes me feel!! Have you heard it yet?!

We had the technical last dance and actual last dance, haha.  The dance we told the DJ would be the last dance was "Thank You" by Dido... a slow song.  We were supposed to exit to "Hail to the Redskins" but we ended up dancing to it instead!

While I do agree a fast song is a great idea to end the party...I kind of want a slow song for one last romantic dance at my wedding.

We did MIchael Buble's version of "save the last dance for me" and DH was at the bar, being obnoxious in the photobooth and the DJ made a big announcement that I was demanding his presence. it was hilarious. Funny enough, nobody else danced with us!! that wasn't our intent, but everybody watched....ha

EJS4Y8...we love Michael Buble! We were thinking of his one song, "I've got the World on a String" for the garter toss...my fiance's name is Michael! :)
