I had posted previously about my IBS and you wonderful bee’s were so kind, i was over whelmed with support and personal stories from other Bee’s who are in the same boat. Well 2 weeks ago along with the support of my family my doctor signed off on my medical leave. She figures i have struggled long enough at work and its time for a break. I have mixed emmotions though… I know its important to get healthy but were saving to pay for our own wedding, a house downpayment and a honeymoon. Thank god FI got a new job a few months back that will cover all my perscriptions costs and he is making double his old wage working up north at a mine. I feel so bad with him working SO hard up there while i will be sitting at home trying to get better. FI is so supportive, and loving and he wants nothing but for me to get better… i just have so much anxiety that i am not doing my fair share in helping to save for our dreams… (i will only be making 50% of my current wage on the EI)
anyone else been on EI and have some advice for me? Anything would be appreciated. xo

Just remember that the most important thing is your health and welfare, and you are doing your fair share by improving your health. As my DH says to me, “you wont be any use to anyone if you make yourself worse!” I was off work through illness for a while too,and I felt so guilty and helpless, but its just important to remember thta your job IS getting better. Keep smiling and soldiering on! 🙂

I agree that you need to take care of yourself. I’ve never had off time but I have a chronic pain condition and you really need to take care of yourself in order to take care of others. You will carry your full share later.

I went out on state disability because of GI and anxiety issues as well. I have been off work since December. It was strange to not go to work everyday but iI honestly made a huge difference and was a blessing in disguise because it allowed me to actually enjoy planning our wedding without it making me sicker.
Im going back towork at the end of July and finally am feeling good about it. It does get better. Take the time to get better and enjoy wedding planning. Your FI appears to love you very much. Think of it as getting the in sickness and for poorer part of the vows out of the way early
