My wedding is this Sat. We were supposed to have the ceremony outside in a gazebo by the water. We didn’t order any decorations or flowers because we thought the view was enough.
They are now saying rain at the exact ceremony time. We have to move the ceremony inside in a plain room. I am devastated 🙁
Any last minute ideas how to decorate the room so it isn’t as bad? it is too late for the florist to put anything together.
I am soooo upset and feel like my whole wedding is ruined 🙁

Two large, tall flower arrangements to mark the altar will make beautiful pics. But honestly, the weather could change and you might end up deciding to still do it outside.
It might just end up being cloudy. I wouldn’t invest toooo much in addtional decor just in case you make the switch again 😉
Edit: Call a few florists and see what they can do for you. If you live in a farming area, I would call local flower growers and see if they can sell you some 🙂

@alison914: Don’t be upset! The wedding is not ruined.
How much time do you have this week? Any time for a DIY?
You can get 2 large branches, pop them in a pot with plaster of paris to hold them upright, then hot glue on some silk flowers. Scatter matching petals down the aisle instead of using the candles shown in this pic.
ferns are easy to buy everywhere and relatively inexpensive. You might even be able to rent some from a florist or garden center.
Place two at the back of the aisle, two at the front and hang some paper lanterns
Along the same lines, you can buy flowring plants of many kinds at the nursery right now. Drop them into a plain silver bucket
My favorite idea would be to show that you have a sense of humor and use umbrellas
you could use child size umbrellas to line the aisle

@julies1949: Those umbrells are so cute! I might just have to steal the idea!
@alison914: I think you can definetely pull this off! Do you have a picture of the room? Maybe use light as a decoration! If they can dull the lights a little then you can create a romantic atmospher with as many lights as you can muster up!
Does the venue have drapes they can use or maybe your DJ offeres the service and can decorate the ceiling for the ceremony instead or the reception? Maybe you could do it yourself?

@alison914: Did it end up raining at your wedding? I am curious because there is a 30% chance of pm thunderstorms on my wedding in 9 days!
