Awww thats so awesome! I'm getting those little flutters now but can't wait for the real thing.
Congrats!
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That is SO exciting!!!!
I bet it was such a beautiful moment for you and hubby.
How far along are you? :)
That is so cool! That must of been an amazing feeling, aaaaw :)
Your hubby will get his opportunity to feel it too!
It was SO exciting! I was sooo giddy. So anxious for the hubs to come home so he didn't miss out!
I am officially 24 weeks today.
YAY!! That is so exciting!!
(Were you worried like I was since all the books say it'll happen at week 20? I didn't feel it until week 24 either!)
My DD's kicks are getting so strong that I can actually watch my belly morph. It freaks me out a little. Plus now that she's getting so big she wakes me up every morning! No alarm clock needed here, I have a kicking baby and a cat who lays on my chest!
Congratulations! It makes it so much more real, doesn't it?!
We've got a crazy mover over here, and it really freaks people out when they see my whole abdomen pulsating and shifting shape while we're talking :)
that is so exciting!! congratulations. You know its a girl, do you have a name picked out yet?
Roddybride, that's so exciting! Isn't it one of the coolest things ever?!
Thanks ladies!! It really is one of the coolest things ever and definitely makes it more real!
@Mighty - yes, I have been constantly worried especially since others felt the baby earlier in the pregnancy. My OCD (self-diagnosed) was going nuts without having a real confimation that she was there. Now I can actually tell whether it is her or gas. That was difficult in the weeks past.
@denverbirdlet - yes, we found out it was a little chica on Feb. 4 and yes we have picked out a name. We picked out a name for a boy or a girl just in case but we haven't released it yet as there are many family members and friends who are due near my due date and some of them have been acting shady about things. I will let everyone know, once we reveal the name.
Oh how exciting! I can't imagine how amazing it must be to see and feel the changes in your body as your little girl grows. Congratulations!
Wow...reading that post just made me tear up. That is so sweet and so precious! Congrats!!!
Congrats! It was so cool when I first felt my son move. He felt like a butterfly flutter. Now my sister, when she was 8 mos along w/my neice, was out to dinner at a fancy restaurant w/my brother in law for the anniversary, and when standing up at the matre'd's station, in full view of the whole restaurant, my neice decided to move from one side of her belly (my sis was huge) to the other. A few women at the restaurant actually gasped.

We felt our baby move! The last few weeks, I have only been feeling the "flutters" of our baby girl but last night was a first. I was resting in bed with my hands on my abdomen waiting for the hubs to come home from work when all of a sudden, I felt my left hand lift up. It happened 2 more times and then another time on the opposite side of my abdomen. Sure enough, it was our baby girl :).
Unfortunately, the hubby wasn't home yet but later on in the night, she moved again so I hurried my hubs to put his hand on my ab which I covered with my hand. She moved just for him and it was funny because I felt the movement through his hand. We were so excited!
It really made my night :)
