Hard to say … do you know when (if) you ovulated? Do you chart?

You might want to read Taking Charge of Your Fertility and look into charting your temperatures for a few months to get a sense of when you ovulate. If your periods are irregular and you don’t know how many days past ovulation you are, it’s hard to say whether it might be a false negative.

I was very late twice in the past 6 months.  The first time I went 55 days between periods which was extremely late for me.  I usually have 24 to 30 day cycles.  I took a home pregnancy test at a week late and went to the doctor on an unrelated appointment a few days later.  She did another test that was negative and gave me a note to get a blood test if I missed my next one as well.  She thought it was probably stress which is what it turned out to be (I just started a new relationship).  I had a 40 day cycle last month when I lost my job.

Go see your doctor if you’re concerned at all or if the tests continue to be negative and no AF

I feel you…I am going through the same thing!  If it goes on much longer it might be worth it to go to the doctor and have them do a blood test.  I’m keeping my fingers crossed that my long cycle is just stress related, so I’ll keep them crossed for you too!

I’m having the EXACT same problem, and I’m due to get married July 6. I’m usually pretty regular (between 21 and 35 days) and had severe PMS symptoms starting a week ago, but I’ve only spotted for the past 3 days (which, if a period, would be 37 days) and now it has stopped. Everyone is telling me it is stress, even though I don’t feel particularly stressed out, but I’m reading that some disorders that cause it could cause infertility, or that it could even be early menopause.

Help!!

I went of BC for about 2 years because of no insurance. I was normal for several months and then when I swapped jobs and went to a midnight-8am shift in a VERY stressful job I started skipping periods and when I did have them they were hell.

Going back on BC is what regulated me back out. Is there a reason you aren’t on BC aside from the hormones? And is that because you are against hormones or because they make things worse?
