Late period, how long before you take a test?

I'm on BC so my period is pretty much like clockwork. It comes on Thursday, without fail, every 4 weeks. This Thursday, it did not come, 2 days late I know is not a big deal, but I'm wondering how long should I wait before I take a test? I'm supposed to start my next pack of BC pills tomorrow night, but I wouldn't want to if I were somehow pregnant... Advice? Would it even test positive if I'm only a few days late?

I tested the day af was supposed to show and got a bfp.... I would go ahead and test and then test again before starting your new pack if you get a bfn the first go round.

The test came back negative but if my late period doesn't show, I will try again tomorrow before taking my BC. Thanks again for your input!

This happened to me in October. I took a couple tests, both no's. I started my next pack and the next month everything was back to normal. For some reason I just missed that month.
