I have a bit of a dilemma. A couple of months ago, my sister/MOH began preparing for my bachelorette party. Of all the guests that were invited, only one girl never accepted or declined. After multiple attempts by my sister and myself to contact her, we just counted her as a no. At the same time, my Fiance and I were asking for addresses from our guests to avoid last minute invitation scrambles. I contacted this same friend via email, text, and voicemail asking for her address, and she never responded. Suddenly two and half months later, this morning to be exact, I get a text message from her saying she thought she sent her address out but must have “forgetten” and includes the address. No call or explanation of why she’s been ignoring all our past attempts to contact her. Unfortunately, the invitations are all done and there are no extras. They are slated to be mailed this coming week.
Clearly she didn’t care enough about our friendship to take part or even acknowledge the fact of my engagement, bachelorette party, or requests for her address so I’m not sure if I want her there. Unfortunately, though we don’t run in the same circles anymore as she lives in another metro, we do work in the same small field and have some mutual friends. What do I do? Do I text her and tell her there’s no space due to her late reply? Ignore her text completely as she ignored me for the last two months? Go out and buy a cheap invitation kit just to send her one to maintain a professional relationship?
