I think ladder ball, bocce ball, and washers/horseshoes would be fun. If there are children at a wedding it would be neat to see a hopscotch game set up. Oh and anything involving a bean bag toss would rock.

We’re having corn-hole (which is a bean bag toss game, if you’re not from the midwest) boccee balls and croquet. We’re also doing a basket of outdoor games for the kids, which is going to include a giant plastic bouncing ball, giant bubble wands, maybe jump-ropes, frisbees, or other things like that. You could also set up badmitten (which is kind of like tennis, only with a birdie instead of a ball and played in the grass). Check out WalMart or Target because in the sports section they actually have some lawn games that you can buy pretty cheap!

We did lawn games at our welcome bbq, and we had corn-hole, ladder ball, and bocce ball.  My friend had lawn games at her wedding and also had badmitton.

@Harley Bride-to-Be: It’s originally a French game.  You have three balls per person or team which are pretty heavy and an itty bitty yellow ball.  Somebody throws the itty bitty ball out into the grass and you have to try to get your teams balls closest to the little one.

we had games & such immediately after the ceremony, while the bridal party took a few pics.  some people just drank and socialized, some people played games, and the kids ran around having fun.  we had corn-hole (a type of bean bag toss game), hula hoops, bubbles, chutes & ladders, uno & a few decks of cards.  seriously, the guests played with everything.  it was awesome to see pics of my older family members hula hooping with the young kids!

@simplifiedbride: That made me laugh. I wish I could get a pic of my gramma hula hooping!
