oh. i am so partial to lazaro gowns but i have to say the rivini is stunning! that's my pick!
I like them both!
Lazaro: the ruffles are amazing and very detailed. The top is gorgeous, and you could add a sash if you wanted to.
Rivini: I love the chiffon, its unexpected. The ruffles are tight and lower.
It just depends on what the dresses look like on you, I'd love to see photos!
tough call depends on how you like your ruffles to flow...
i think i am partial to the lazaro but try them both if you can dresses always look different on than in the pictures.
I have tried on the Lazaro. But then I saw a picture of this Rivini and it made me start to think twice. But the Lazaro is nice. When I keep showing the picture to my friends and family they are torn as well. There is a Rivini Trunk show in December so I may go try the Rivini on then.
The bottom of the Rivini strikes me as really weird. I love that particular lazaro though.
the rivini looks different when you actually try it on, find it at a store and see :)
Rivini for sure! I just tried the Tahlia on today and absolutely LOVED it. It has become my #1 pick for my gown. It looks so different in person and not on a stick thin model. The ruffles are more flowy and not so boxy and there is a bit more of a train than what it looks like. Seriously GORGEOUS I can't wait to try it on again during a trunk show and perhaps purchase it!!
I like both of them, but when I seen the Lazaro one I actually said wow. It makes me second guess the dress I bought!!
@mexicobride2012: I have tried on both of these dresses. I think The rivini is much better quality than the lazaro. However, the Lazaro is a better price point.
Have you tried the Rivini Lismora? I feel like thats a PERFECT compromise. The dress is dynamite on.

The Rivini Lismora was definitely on my fav list. This was also the dress my fiance pointed out that he liked when I was filpping thru a wedding magazine. When I saw that the price started at $6k and $7K and how the Lazaro looked very similiar, I kind of stopped considering it as dress for me. Now is back its on as a possible b/c I may be able to go to a Rivini Trunk Show and get a discount for the dresss.
i actually tried both of them on last weekend (lazaro and rivini tahlia). I gotta say the Rovini has much better quality and finer detail. It looks stunning on! I also love the built in sash with the rivini, which is a sash that i ended up really really love and can't find anything similar. I would vote for the tahlia between the two.
thank you so much for posting your pic! i am also wearing this dress for my wedding, and i have felt the same as you! i purchased 2 months ago, but i never got a pic of me in my dress and forgotten how beautiful it is in person! i had been worried not being able to find anyone with a picture in this dress and started having second thoughts, but seeing yours really really reminds how lovely it is!
I voted Rivini, but am not in love with the belt. I think that if you swapped the belt it would be perfection!
@LMH0602:yay dress twin! i ordered mine w/o the belt because i'm going to wear a plain sash for the ceremony, and then swap it out for a blngy sash for the reception. i always wanted to wear a sash with the ends of the bow trailiing down the back, so ordering w/o the belt was a good compromise :D when does yours come in? so exciting!
@cushioney: YAY :) it looks so beautiful on you! I was told that my dress will arrive until 2-3 months before my wedding date which is June 2, 2012 ~ so I have a long time to wait!!! mine is also being custom ordered (hallow to hem) for my height (i'm super short - 5'0). I actually loved the blingly belt and kept it as is :) i didn't even know they could swap it out! but with other dresses I had tried on, I had planned on using a simple belt for the ceremony and swapping it out for a crystal one for the reception. Luckily this one came with the bling belt, bc they are super expensive!!!
@LMH0602: SO EXCITING!! Yeah the belt is totally gorg, but I wanted a thicker one so that's why I'm using sash. It's so funny though b/c when I first tried on this dress I was like man this is A LOT of dress, but then I kept on coming back to it after trying on other dresses bc they all felt so blah compared to this one :)
@lalalalauren: I love the Rivini Tahlia too!! I am also waiting for the trunk show. Did you get a trunk show price? I am curious to see what you were quoted if you don't mind sharing! :) Thanks!!
@KarenM0301: Hi! So sorry I just saw your response now. I ended up purchasing a custom rivini gown with the tahlia bottom and the rosalie top. The top has sheer straps and a sweetheart neckline. I did wait to purchase at a trunk show but obviously paid a bit more because I was mixing the 2 styles. She comes in at the beginning of june! I'll post more photos once I actually get my dress!
