I recently found my wedding dress. It is Lazaro 3209. I tried on the sample size 10 in the store which was slightly too big, but when I went to order it, they showed me the chart and said I measured in to a size 12. They told me that Lazaro sample dresses are made with a different pattern than the made-to-order ones and that the sample size 10 runs much bigger than the actual size 10. Has anyone else been told this? I put my trust entirely in my bridal salon, even though it didn’t make sense to order a size bigger than the sample size that was too big on me. I worry every day that my dress is going to come in and I am going to be swimming in it. Please help me!

@stacy51088: I’m not sure where you bought your dress – sounds suspicious to me. I order my dress 3102 during a Lazaro trunk show and, like you the sample size 10 was a little too big on me. The salon showed me the size chart and we ordered an 8 which made sense given how the 10 fit.

I agree with PandOra. It was the same for me. I tried the sample size 10 which was too big for me and I got measured and I was a size 6 on top and 8 on the bottom so I went ahead and ordered the 8. Not sure what your salong is talking about. Ask them to show you the size chart for Lazaro and where you fall in with your measurements. My place show me mine.

@cabride12: They showed me the size chart and I fell in between the 10 and 12. My dress is a ball gown, so they said the measurement I should go by is the waist. The size 10 measurement is 26 and 12 is 27.5. I am about a 27. With the chest and hip measurements I’m about a half inch bigger than the 10. But still, I don’t understand why the sample would be big on me. Maybe they told me the sample was a 10 when it really was a 12? It just doesn’t make sense. It’s too late to change the size on my order so I worry about it every day. I’m just glad I ordered it 15 months before my wedding in case it’s a disaster.

@stacy51088: I think the sample size was probably bigger and they were just mistaken by telling you it was a 10. I hope it’ll be ok when it comes in.

@stacy51088: If the sample size 10 was too big it was probably due to it being tried on frequently. My Lazaro dress 3153 is also a ball gown and I ordered a 12 and I am not a 12. They did let me know that some of the Lazaro gowns run a little smaller. My measurements were also between the 10 and 12 size shart and I’m a street size 6. I think you should be fine
