I have a 20 month old son, and carry my extra weight funny now. I really would like to lose 10 pounds for my wedding next September. I work full time, go to college, and (as stated) have a little boy. I'm lazy too! I hate working out and dieting! Are there any suggestions on how I can lose this weight and keep it off, but not take up ALL of my (NO) freetime?!

Its a little pricy but medifast meal plans.... the weight comes off pretty quick but you gotta have the determination to stick to it the first few days are hardish, but u could lose 10 in a month easy.

    A couple pieces of advice:

    - Really start with regulating your calorie intake, as great as it would be to be able to get in a workout the majority of your first results come from diet (note though, this can lead to "skinny fat" syndrome where you're slim without any muscle tone)

    - So add in a 25 min DVD. Everyone can find 25 minutes, even busy moms. I LOVE the 30 Day Shred by Jillian Michael's. Talk about a workout. Her daily workout is just a little over 20 minutes and produces some pretty great results.

    - Use "down-time" that you have. Little man goes down for a nap, mommy can get in a quick workout. Appointment got cancelled, well, time to go for a walk.

If you're used to drinkning a lot of beverages like OJ, milk, soda, juices...cut them down and drink a lot of water. That should help a little.

Squeeze in tiny workouts.  Get a set of small handweights and do curls during commercials when you're watching tv.  Walk vs taking your car short distances, take the stairs, it all adds up.  Do crunches in the morning right after you get up out of bed before you start your day.

Diet wise- keep healthy snacks ready and availble for grab & go: get those snack baggies and bag up baby carrots and celery sticks, almonds, etc.  There is a cookbook called "Quick & Healthy" that has tons of easy recipes that are fast.  Make twice as much and freeze the extra so that you have quick meals on hand.

Carry a water bottle with you everywhere- your body needs lots of water just to function properly.

I don't eat healthy at all and I need to lose about 20lbs. In the past couple of weeks I have cut my bread intake considerable, starting eating the auctivia yogurt; the lite one with 12g of fibre and substiuted my snack; which used to be fibre bars, with Special K crackers; you can have 17 per serving. I have also increased my exercise just a little bit. My schedule doesn't allow for much, but I have lost 7 to 8 pounds depending on what time of day I weigh myself. That is about 3 to 4 pounds each week. I am very excited about this and hope it continues. I am also eating more salads and have cut my soda intake by half. I have substituted green tea for the soda.

I must agree with msdecember.  Medifast works.  I used it last spring and lost about 15 pounds in a month.  I am also a big fan of yoga. It tones your muscles very quickly.

some small things you can do that will help..............

park further away from the enterence you are using, and if possible use an enterence further away so you are forced to get in a short walk.

    switched all beverages to water.

eat several small meals throughout the day instead of just one or two huge meals.

switch to nuts and meat alternatives instead of unhealthy meats.

find a workout buddy, you can motivte each other

Good advice Ladies! Also, take the stairs when you can, eat meals slower (you'll feel fuller faster), cut desert out, and take short study breaks where you do some reps of arm weights!
