i'm doing good! my guy will be coming for a week in a week! eeeeeee! i can't wait. i wish we could have an extended visit like you and j but i'll take what i can get. lol.
haha, yeah, our situation is a little... unique. I bet you don't have to do 6 months between visits though, huh? :) At least the next one won't be so bad - just 4ish months!
haha, well, let's just say even though we're both stateside, our longest between visits has been almost 10 months. plane tickets are expensive no matter how you slice it!
I'm lucky, it's 3 days :D My turn to get the train to his after a long day at work on a saturday. Still 24 hours together will be better than none :D
10 months!? Man, I'd get on a frickin' greyhound before going that long if I could, hahaha...

FI is back on Feb 8th after almost 5 months in Chad in Africa - it has felt like FOREVER - I almost wonder what it will be like, it's been so long! Since he left I've moved into our house where he's never lived (we've never lived together) I absolutely and totally cannot wait...way too long to go without hugs and kisses! I don't know how you all do it for longer!

@anamcara - oh, I had a breakdown around 4 1/2 months. :) Apparently that's normal. I went crazy and cried for days (okay, not straight, but def. on and off) and posted like a million sad posts on here, and tried to convince myself we'd be better off not in a relationship at all.
Thank goodness that didn't stick!
@daydreamwanderer - I totally see how that's possible. I feel like I'm running on the last of the fumes that will get me to Feb 8th. So many people have said things like - that went by SO fast! And my response is - maybe for you it did!!! Honestly - I feel like I haven't seen him in 2 years... Thank goodness it's almost over!
@ddw, yeah, but there were some extenuating family health issues i had to deal with that kept me here and would have been hard to plan for him to come out. it was a weird time for all of us.
but i'm looking forward to this visit. i gotta plan my next trip out to see him too.
@anam - YES!!! The last 3 weeks were horrible! It was the end of December and everything was craaaaazy busy with Christmas stuff, and people kept being like, "OMW I can't believe how fast time is going!" and I would just stare at them, because I couldn't be like, "it's all about me!!!" hahahahah.....
I promise the wait is worth it though!!!!
I haven't seen him since October 17th. I won't get to see him until some time in May (with luck it will be that soon), but then I get to have him ALL SUMMER. SQUEE!!! I just have to make it until May.
I'll be seeing my SO hopefully V-weekend, but no definitive plans have been made yet.....last time we saw each other was MLK weekend. I don't know how some of you bees do it not seeing your SO for months on end! The longest we have ever gone was a little over 2 months and that was complete torture!
Checking in.. We wont see each other until the weekend of March 6th.. for his good friends wedding..(SO NOT FAIR!!! lol)

This isn't when we get together next, but it is when we will be apart next. We live together now, but Mr.D is going back to England to visit his family and do a bit of business for a month. :( We haven't had to be apart since July!!! le sigh, I guess we'll be skyping it like the ol' days
@ day.. It cant come soon enough.. I miss him soo much! lol.. I just have to keep remembering this is only temporary
@daydreamwanderer Yes, it is SO difficult! I love him so much and I just hate to be apart from him, but that's what has to be done right now. I really look forward to being able to just hang out with him in the summer.
I recently realized that my sweetie and I have never had the opportunity to spend a Valentine's day together. That made me so sad. I just sent him a care package so I put a V-Day card hidden in it marked "Do Not Open Until 2/14/2010." I hope he likes it.
ugh it is soo sad :( I am going to send him a vday care package... :):)
I won't see him until the end of March... but at least that will be our last time apart...then less than two months later we'll be married and he'll be living here with me :):)

@Sept - when were you guys together last? The distance is so tough! How's the planning going without him around? For me, it's the BEST distraction EVER, haha.
@D'orsay - how long will he be gone?
24 hours :D I am dragging him to CT to do wedding things, lol, so to make up for it I am driving to NYC for the V-Day/President's Day weekend.

@daydreamer, he came out here for a week over Christmas. Before that, I had left NY Dec. 6, and had been with him that whole year.
It's actually harder planning the wedding without him here, simply because he desires so much to be a part of it and help out, and he can't so he get's frustrated. Then we end up fighting or something, that's the hardest part about distance, we fight ten times as much.
I'm looking forward to seeing FI on Valentine's Day weekend (also my birthday, yay!) This year has been tolerable since we are only several hours apart. The worst was 2007-2008, when I was abroad... Eek! Much support and admiration to those going through that now.
I'm seeing my man in March! This is a long one, we haven't seen each other since October. I'm just so excited because this is the very last visit before me moves here in the summer! Can't wait to be a part of a SDR (short distance relationship i.e. same house) :)
I spent the weekend with my FI....I won't see him again until valentines day weekend...
I am going to see him in 40 days, and we are getting married in 42 days!!!! The longest we have been apart is almost 6 months, then 2 months, and now I am in the last 4 month stretch. :) So happy!!
I get to see him in 11 days for V-day weekend!!! I haven't seen him since Jan. 15th so it will have been almost a month. The longest we have been apart is 8 weeks which felt like a lifetime. I am so proud of you ladies who go for months and months at a time without seeing your SO.
Today is one of those sucky, hard days where I just miss him so much and it feels like time is CRAWLING. People always say "ohh it will go by so fast and the wedding will be here before you know it!" but it doesn't feel that way to me! I think it is hard because I have to leave the day after our honeymoon and we will be apart again for 2.5 months! After that, I'm hoping that school won't keep us apart anymore, but that is not 100% for sure. UGhhhhhhhhhh LDR sucks so bad sometimes!

What are you girls all doing for valentines? If you're going to be together, what's on the schedule? If you're not, any care packages planned?
I for one am hoping for my ring that weekend! He hasn't proposed yet, so I'm figuring he's waiting for the holiday (cheesy, but CUTE since he hates valentine's) :D
One week from today!! We leave a week from tomorrow for our wedding in Hawaii. Then I come back to Chicao for a month before I move to NY. It will be even stranger being married and apart.

Anybody on top of any exciting count downs??? When do you see your SO next?
J and I are in the middle of a blissful (well, realistic, but still AMAZING) 7 weeks together. Today is actually the mid point, but he keeps telling me we're not counting ;)
I'm so excited - he's planning a weekend trip to NYC the weekend after next, and a long weekend at a cottage on the beach the weekend after that (V-Day)!! I think he might (finally) propose on VDay! Yay!!!
