Does anyone remember that site? Basically, it’s like FML in that every anecdote/entry ends with #LFMF (learn from my fail). I thought it could be fun to post our wedding fails.
When sending save the dates, make sure they actually say “save the date” somewhere on them. Otherwise, older relatives could be puzzled by your very vague and bizarrely early “invitations”. #LFMWF
Read the contract. Carefully, You may book your photographer for the wrong year. #LFMWF

Laurenplusalex: Don’t let bridal party pick out their own dresses before you’ve pinned down your wedding dress and theme (i.e. I thought it would a casual wedding look and I picked a super glamorous wedding dress). Learn from my wedding fail

If your wedding ceremony venue involves stairs, don’t just practice gracefully gliding down them as you make your entrance… also practice walking back up. #LFMWF

Don’t depend on a cab to get you to church, book a ride instead. #LFMWF

prahajess: I’m with you here, I actually went to a salon but hated the style and decided to do it myself. My hair is naturally curly/frizzy and boy o boy did it ever grow on the day!

Put someone in charge of monitoring how much your bridal party drinks before the ceremony, especially if you are getting married at a winery, or else you may have some staggering down the aisle and bawling groomsmen throughout the ceremony.

hahaha — I don’t think it matters with the STD’s. Older guests will be confused no matter what. We put “save the date” and “formal invitation to follow” on our STD’s. They were still confused and were calling and asking where their RSVP card was.

LindyLu: similar story here!
Don’t depend on a cab to get you from your reception to your hotel (especially in a small town). Waited over an hour for a ride and then had to share cab with DH’s drunk uncle. #lfmwf

If you want pro pictures of your wedding rings, don’t give them to best man the night before who you won’t see again until you get to the church. #LFMWF

Oh jeez, how could I forget this one?
If you are staying in a hotel, pack clothes to wear the next day. Otherwise you have to do a ‘walk of shame’ back home in your wedding dress in the morning to get something to wear to your next-day brunch, while your new husband answers questions from everyone asking where the new bride is.
