Last nite at dinner we were sitting near a young couple with a child, and as they were ordering it was clear they were struggling with how much to order, based on a budget. They ordered, we ordered. At the end of the meal when our meal came my Mountain Man asked the waitress for the couples check. He paid it and told me “its a mitzvah” .
The thing is , I have always done this but never mentioned it to him. My holiday is Mothers Day- when we are out and I see an older woman alone. I either pay for meal, or sit with her if she likes company,
For him its the time between the end of the year and the new year.
WOW– after eight years I learned something new and and found another reason to love him more.
thanks for reading.

That’s really nice to hear! Not too long ago someone in front of FI and I in the drive through paid for our coffees. It’s really made me think more about doing random acts of kindness. So sweet of your man to have done this!
