So, we’re getting ready to send out invitations next week, and we have online RSVP AND I’m mailing everyone an RSVP postcard. Now we’re obviously including a stamp for the RSVP, but in case someone wants to just RSVP online, can I paperclip the stamp to the postcard, so they can use the stamp on something else? Is that stupid? I’d just hate for a stamp to go to waste!

I just put it on the paper, it means more cutting for me to do it that way. plus if people want to reuse the stamp they can peel it off. 😛

@swedeypie: My friend that had online and paper RSVPs didn’t provide a stamp, I think if you’re going to include a stamp it should be on the envelope/postcard RSVP. Plus paperclipping may throw the thickness of your envelopes off and cause you extra money!

I totally get where you’re coming from. My fiance is the type that would totally tear off the postage and tape it to a letter so it wouldn’t be wasted. So I think paperclipping is fine. Some people may not get it at first, but whatevs. I’d just check with the post office to be sure it won’t screw up the sorting.

I would attach it for real (so no one forgets to attach it and you don’t lose RSVPs), and consider any unused posage a donation to our struggling postal service!
