So, for about a week now I have had a tingly/numb/achey feeling in my left wrist, elbow, upper arm, and bottom of my shoulder. When I turn keys my left thumb tingles even more. I think this may be a pinched nerve, but I am not sure. I can barely even move my arm, even after taking iburofen. There’s not any swelling or discoloration. I’m completely at a loss. I woke up this morning to the worse pain yet. I’ve now been awake for almost 8 hours and the pain has yet to subside, and I’ve taken 600 mg iburofen. When I sleep, I sleep with my right arm under my FH’s pillow and my left arm draped over him. The other position I sleep in is with both arms under me and my face in my pillow. (I know, this isn’t an attractive position! haha) Oh, and my left hand is noticeably a few degrees cooler than my right. Any medical bees want to take a stab at my pain? I would love to do something to feel better by my big day Saturday!

I’d say get to a doctor asap. Could be a pinched nerve in the neck (makes me think neck since it includes shoulder/upper arm all the way down to hands). If it was just hands, it could be something at the elbow. Sounds like it is following a median nerve distribution. But you could have some vasular issues at play if blood flow is causing it to be cooler. Go see a doctor!

Your sleeping positions certainly aren’t doing you any favors. Sounds like you’ve got nerve imingement going on. I would go get a massage.

It sounds vascular to me. Go to a doctor and get it checked out.

TiaMP: Just as you wouldn’t go to your doctor to seek wedding advice, it is foolish to seek medical advice on a wedding website.
Go to the doctor woman!
