I did the same thing for FI once when he was still BF... it was totally cheesy and I only did it because I couldn't think of anything else nice to do right then, but he loved it. At least I know he's easy to please. :)
That is so sweet! And yes, I always do stuff like that for my FI. I was visiting my brother in Germany last week with my Dad. Father/daugher trip, so FI wasn't along.
I made sure to mail 2 cards to him the day before I left. The morning I left, he was at work, so I placed one on his pillow and another taped to the microwave. Then I gave my mom 2 other cards to mail a few days later. I love doing things like this for him. Plus, it makes him feel special...and I like that.
That is too cute! What a great idea. I may use that next time I have to go outta town :)
Before I moved in, we left each other notes all the time. He left for work before I did so he'd let me sleep in and leave notes around the house. Then if I was going to be staying for a night or two (I was living and working almost an hour away) I would leave him love notes around the house.
I like to do weird things for BF, when he has to travel for work and asks me to fold his shirts, I hide odd things in his bags.
Last time, he found it before he left. :( So he made me add something to it so it would still be a surprise. The time before that, I stuck a heart-sticker on his shirt.
I don't know that BF hugs/kisses me in his sleep, but one night he fell asleep while we were snuggling, and eventually put me in one heck of a headlock... I guess he wasn't going to let me get away.
Whenever one of us goes out of town, I write him a letter for each day and put it in a bag with Hershey Kisses. He knows that its a stand in for my kisses, and to open one letter each day!
He's totally not sentimental, but he carries those letters with him in his backpack ALL the time. It made me cry when I found out.
We definitely leave notes for each other if we know we won't see the other person that evening. It is such a cute way to let them know you care. I am all about the little things!
We're long distance, so I slip a note into his carryon bag before dropping him off at the airport. He invariably opens the bag partway through the flight to look for his iPod/book/etc., finds the note, tears up, and can't put it down because it smells like my perfume.
That's sweet! I'll do little stuff like that for my guy sometimes too! :-)

Just thought id share.
Well my husband has a tendency to hug me in his sleep and I just think its sooo cute! But last night topped it! He was dead asleep but occasionally he would roll over- grab my face and kiss me in his sleep! It was adorable! he doesnt remember it at all.
So I just felt super happy and did a cute little thing for him,
Im gone tonight and tomorrow to hang out with my girlfriends and he was really bummed. so after he left for work I hung a huge heart on the door inside the garage and it says,
"Since I cant be here tonight, I decided I would leave my heart here with you instead! I love you and I will see you in a couple day! Love, XXXX"
Hehehe dumb I know but sometimes i enjoy doing little things like that. ^^
