get big tall vases and fill them with lemons for your centerpieces. Have sliced lemons printed on your stationary. Just a few ideas...
Lemons are so versatile! I love mrs. crabcake's ideas and I plan on using those ideas too. I love the idea of serving lemonade and lemonade cocktails and you can always use those little lemonheads in vases or lemon-flavored sweets. This blogger incorporated lemons into her wedding and it turned out beautifully:
I had some pics saved, check these out:

I love lemons! I had a lemon themed spring party once and added kumquats to the mix for a little variety. You can kind of stick them anywhere, which is the wonderful thing about lemons and they look great in a tall cylindrical vase. I saw a lemon themed bridal shower on Project Wedding you should check out. They wrote the guests' names on to the lemons for place cards.
Lemons! Yes. All the ideas people have posted are great - I've even seen centerpieces with lemons still on the branch, placed in a blue mason jar (if you want something more rustic or vintage).
Oooh and you can do these lemon cookies as favors: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy-favor-idea
I loove fruits and vegetables on weddings! if I only had yellow as my color I would totally do those things the girls shared with you :)
SO lovely!
Lemon in centerpieces (or scattered around the centerpieces), cake, drinks, favors, stationary/ribbon, yellow BM dresses/sashes/vests/ties/flowers? I think it's definitely do-able and cute for a summer outdoor reception.
Hi Sillygoose,
I was basing my entire wedding around lemons and limes and have a TON of pictures and stuff, if you pm me with your email I'll send them to you!
I'm not going to end up using lemons, just because my dress doesn't fit what I had going on anymore and am going to work around that instead!
:)
I saw this lemon bridal bouquet when I was thinking about doing yellow flowers: http://www.wedding-channels.com/2006/03/modern_wedding_bouquet_ideas.html
I *love* this idea. And they smell so pretty, too!
I love the idea of citrus in arrangements, but you have to be careful with them. The acid in the fruit will kill your flowers. So, if you are DIY flowers ahead of time, you need to have the fruit in one container and the flowers set down in another vase or resting on top.
I am so glad someone posted this question. I just bought blue and yellow bridesmaid dresses and the idea of a lemon theme hit me last night and I wanting to find a post about it. YAY
Ooooo I love lemon weddings! Our colors are black, white and lemon yellow, but I haven't decided if I want to incorporate real lemons or not. We have a few lemon-flavored things... but I just can't decide! Guess I better figure it out quick, eh?
I am having a lemon themed engagement party. I will post pics afterwards (its this weekend). But in the meantime you can see my post on my invites http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/engagement-party-invites. Will the BMs be in yellow? You could do yellow shoes for yourself which would be super cute. We are going to do lemons in cylindrical vases so I will take a pic to show how they come out. We are also having this as the "cocktail" "champagne, pink or regular lemonade, ginger ale, frozen strawberries or blueberries, and rasberry sherbert"
We used orange and lemons and the like in our center pieces... here's a pick! hope it helps
Moving beyond centerpieces, you could use lemon-colored bouquet wraps, yellow voties or votive holders for accent tables and yellow graphic embellishments on your printed materials. So happy and cheery!
