So bees, we have been having trouble with our venue from the get go. It took them forever to even get us a contract and has been a nightmare trying to make arrangements with! We knew from the beginning that the owner was not very attentive, but we just kept justifying it because the Inn is absolutely stunning.
So after one phone conversation several months ago where I voiced my feelings on how things are going, the innkeeper promised to make things better. Well, that never happened, and now we are really struggling to get the rest of the event planned. He is just never available to respond to phone calls or emails, and it has been so frustrating!
Now we are less than 6 months away and faced with the reality that we may want to change our venue. Our wedding is a destination wedding in Vermont, and many of the Inns are already booked for our date. We are sad to leave our current venue because its AMAZING, but I just don’t know if I want to have my wedding in a place that doesn’t respond to my calls or emails!
So now we are considering just scrapping the whole destination thing and just having a wedding here in California where we are from. Only 2 of our guests have booked flights, so I feel like it’s not too late, but we have done SO much work in Vermont booking other vendors!
What would you do? Bees, I’m losing sleep at night! This is a total nightmare!
