Hi! My name is Alyssa this is my first post! I want to see all you beautiful brides in your gowns! Seeing dresses on models doesn't help much. I'm 5'3 125lbs size 3-5 so obviously petite but I am very very curvy! I guess I could be called a pear shape? I also have no idea what kind of dress I want. I was think a sweet heart neckline would be helpful because god didn't grace me with much on top. hah. I'm hoping looking at a real person in there dress will help me figure out what style I want.

I added the sash and fethered flower. They sash is going to be sewn in so no bow!

@ariggin: Welcome. I'm 5'3" and hourglassed (big chest and big hips). 155 right now, but normally 135. I'm still far away from ordering a dress. We've yet to set a date, and it will be at least two years away.

It's Sophia Tolli Madelyn, size 14. I'm 5'6'' and street size 14.
I love all the details! I can't tell what color it is though. You look beautiful in it! (of course you already know that considering that smile you have in the picture) haha
I am a 12 and I am 5' 1 1/2", so not as small as you, but here is my gown at one of my fittings. I have posted it all over the place and it still has a bit of work to be done, but you can get a general idea.
@ariggin: It's diamond white dress with an amethyst/eggplant colored lace overlay!

@noritake22: That is a true fairytale wedding dress! Most women can't pull off a dress that big and beautiful. It looks great on you
@ariggin: Thank you. I really do feel like a princess in it, and I am a total girly girl, so it is totally a representation of who I am :-)

I'm 5'4", 140 lbs (yikes!) and I am very much a pear shape. Here is my dress...
I am about 5 lbs heavier than you right now (thanks to stuffing my face during the holidays) and I am also 5'3" and have a slightly bigger bottom than top.
I'm rocking an off the rack department store dress!

I’m 5’ 3” too and at the time of the wedding 127, but when I bought the dress I was 135. I’m a street size 10-12 and apple shape; I have almost no hips. But here is my dress.
Also, when you try on dresses, make sure to try on *everything*, even things that you would think would look bad on you. I tried on a dress that had beading right across the belly which is my worst area. I thought it would accentuate it. Instead it made me look amazing. I ended up not getting it because it didn’t fit with my venue. But it was a valuable lesson that wedding dresses are different than street clothes.
@ariggin: Hi there. I'm just a bit taller and bit heavier than you. 5' 5' and about 135 lbs. I'm also right in the middle of your size range, as I'm usually a dress size 4. Hope this helps!
Oh... and i'm in the small boobs camp too!
I'm 5'9", and kind of sad to say that I'm almost 200 pounds. I'm a street size 12/14, the dress was ordered in a 16...but here's me in my dress! 
This is from when I first tried it on last June. I won't have tan lines when I wear it for real in 2.5 months!
Hi Alyssa! I'm the exact same height & weight as you! Hopefully my pictures give you an idea!
we're a similar shape - small on top, with some hips - though i've got some height on you. here's what I went with:
@MissCastle: I just want to say - don't even think about your weight! Your body is VERY proportional and you look great in your dress!!! You're a tall girl (like me!) and the weight looks perfect on you. Rock it!
@MissCastle: Wow! You look fantastic! Are you going with that color sash or a different one?
I'm 5'8.5 and ~160lbs (was 170 when I bought my dress). I'm an hourglass/pear shape. There's a 14" difference between my waist and hips:
I'm 5'-2" and I LOVE my dress! I'm getting the bow removed and putting a deep purple sash straight across sewn in (no bow). I can't wait to wear it!
Love this post! Curves are great, and very few brides actually fit into these dresses the way the models do! Here's me in mine. I never would have picked this dressed based on what it looks like on the model.
Here is mine....I'm 5'4"-ish and around 140lbs right now...my dress is Karena Royale from Maggie Sottero...
Who ever mentioned trying on everything is SO right. I walked into my first salon and said "I dont like lace and I definitely want covered button down the back"...HA I now have a lace dress which is corsetted and laces up the back - no buttons! :) You never know what you'll love...

@ariggin: Welcome! I'm about your size, 5'2" with hips but little boobs... and lots of shoulders / arm muscle. A sweetheart neckline can definitely look good with a less-endowed chest, but the reason it was a total must for me is because of my shoulders / upper body.
Here's what I chose - I started off thinking I wanted a short dress, tried on a ton of long ones, and eventually went back to the short.
I have a bunch of other pictures if you're interested in seeing what they look like in someone about your size, but this was the winner.
