I've whacked DH a couple of times, but usually my earrings are a bigger culprit! Could you look into having the sharp edge softened a little so it's a little blunter? Is it the setting that's so sharp? I can see that the prongs are on the end of your diamond.

At least once a day I scratch the crap out of my FI! It's horrible.I feel terrible and I know it hurts him! It usually leaves a little welt. I obviously don't mean to but I have a marquise diamond ring and it is soooo stinkin sharp! I have scratched myself pretty bad a couple of times too!
I was wondering if any of you ladies ever have the same problem!
