Gribberama:  I don’t have our song list on me right now, but I remember our song: our first dance was Madeliene Peyroux’s version of Dance Me to the End of Love.  Check it out if you’ve never heard it.  The lyrics are classic, meaningful, and the tune is easy to waltz to.  Also, I’ve never heard it played at any other wedding.  My other favorite first dance song is John Legend’s instrumental version of All of Me.  Sigh — makes me want to get married all over again! 😉

I deleted some since we aren’t using all of these elements. We’re using an iPad for all of our music.

PRELUDE: No official prelude, but we’ve made a playlist with about 45 minutes of music that will play as guests are arriving. It’s full of songs we love but couldn’t fit anywhere else. Some of the artists: the Lumineers, Bob Marley, Tristan Prettyman, Amos Lee, Old Crow Medicine Show, Lauryn Hill

PROCESSIONAL: Family/bridal party will walk in to both You and I and The Way I Am by Ingrid Michaelson

BRIDE ENTRANCE: Both of us will walk in to Today by Joshua Radin

INTERLUDE: My partner’s nephew is singing/playing Forever and Ever Amen by Randy Travis

RECESSIONAL: Some Kind of Wonderful by Grand Funk Railroad

GRAND ENTRANCE: Marry You by Bruno Mars (yes, we know it’s not 100% wedding appropriate)

FIRST DANCE: You Are the Best Thing by Ray LaMontagne

FATHER/DAUGHTER: Unforgettable by Natalie Cole for my partner and her dad. Blue Moon by The Platters for me and mine.

CAKE CUTTING: Not sure yet. We kinda want Forever by Ben Harper, but it sounds soooo depressing.
