Alright!  I thought it would be fun to get to know each other a little more.  We spend so much time talking about weddings, relationships, rings, and dresses that we often don't delve into ourselves and getting to know our fellow Bees.

Answer the following questions about yourself and enjoy learning about the rest of the Hive!

    1. If you could know the answer to any question (besides “What is the meaning of life?”), what would it be?

    2. What story does your family always tell about you?

    3. What’s something you know you do differently than most people?

    4. If you just won ten million dollars, would you quit your job?

    OoOoo! Fun!  I'll play.  :)

    1. If you could know the answer to any question (besides “What is the meaning of life?”), what would it be?

What really happened to the lost Roanoke colony?

    2. What story does your family always tell about you?

The story of my head injury because it was so traumatic and scary.  Not that I remember...

    3. What’s something you know you do differently than most people?

I have to cover any green light in my bedroom at night.  Red light is fine but green light will literally keep me awake all night.  Any alarm clock, cable box, etc that has a green light gets covered.

    4. If you just won ten million dollars, would you quit your job?

I actually think I'd rather have my FI get a less stressful, less demanding job before I worried about quitting mine.  Once that was taken care of then I'd probably take a break from work for at least a few years.  I do like my job though.

    @Mrs.KMM:  You didn't answer!

    I'll answer for me!

    1. If you could know the answer to any question (besides “What is the meaning of life?”), what would it be?
When I am on my death bed and look back at my life, what will I wish I had done differently (if anything)?

    2. What story does your family always tell about you?
When I was 2.5, my little sister was born.  Apparently, I didn't like having to share mom and dad's attention with her so I crafted a way to get my parents to focus on me.  Once my sister starting getting teeth, I would bite my own arm and then go crying to my parents, telling them that my sister bit me.  I'd get attention for being "hurt" and it was great!  Eventually, my parents realized that the bite mark on my arm was too big to have been made by my sister and my scheme was discovered.

My sister and I are best friends now.  It just didn't start off so well!

    3. What’s something you know you do differently than most people?
DH (and my friends) always makes fun of me for this, but I buy food at the "grocery".  He insists that it is only appropriate to call it a "grocery store"

    4. If you just won ten million dollars, would you quit your job?
Absolutely!  I've never had any desire to have a career and would love to invest that money wisely and live off the growth.  I'd have time to travel and focus on my hobbies and the things that bring me pleasure.  I'd volunteer and think I would like a much happier life than having to go to a job 40 hours a week.

    1. idk... Have/Will aliens ever try to make contact with Earth?

    2. I started Kindergarten when I was 4.5 and insisted on taking the bus by myself. My mom walked me to the bus stop and after I left she started crying (I'm the eldest) and drove to my school. On the first day of school all the kids would go to the cafeteria and sit at a table with their class/teacher. i figured out the cafeteria part but my mom eventually walked in and found me sitting quietly by myself waiting for someone to notice me/take me to my teacher.

    3. I hate touching my food. Its the reason I don't like wings. When I eat sandwiches they stay in their wrapper and I peel it back as I go.

    4. No, I'd get bored

    1. If you could know the answer to any question (besides “What is the meaning of life?”), what would it be?

I would like to know why people who are awful at driving get their licenses.

    2. What story does your family always tell about you?

Probably that my parents used "don't make me count to THREE" on me until I was far too old for it. They eventually had to just stop saying it because they felt bad I was getting so old but still so uncertain/scared of what would happen after that number 3 came. I honestly don't think my parents ever knew what would happen after 3 either, because they never got that far.

    3. What’s something you know you do differently than most people?

I write with my left hand... which is different than most people I know. (I also used to eat cereal with juice instead of milk...)

    4. If you just won ten million dollars, would you quit your job?

Maybe. I think that's a situation where you don't know until it happens. I think I might quit this job, and get a different job in the same field.

    1. If you could know the answer to any question (besides “What is the meaning of life?”), what would it be?   Ohhhhh.....that's a good one.  Hmmm....Is Elvis really dead?  What about TuPac and Biggie?  Ok..seriously kidding on those.  I think I would ask "what is the stock market going to do tomorrow."  They could be very beneficial to my retirement :)

    2. What story does your family always tell about you?  When I was 4, my teenage cousins were supposed to be babysitting me, but had a party instead.  I took advantage of the situation, dressed up as a bum (got the idea off of a Robin Hood cartoon) and went around asking "Alms for the poor."  I got $10 off of that gig.  Pretty genius idea fora  4 year old if you ask me :)

    3. What’s something you know you do differently than most people?  I yawn with my mouth closed.  True story.  It's an aquired talent I picked up while in early morning accounting class in college :)

    4. If you just won ten million dollars, would you quit your job?  No...but I would take an immediate vacation!  I would keep on working though.  Once I have kiddos, then I would quit.

    1. If you could know the answer to any question (besides “What is the meaning of life?”), what would it be?

What's the sure-fire way to fix the economy??

    2. What story does your family always tell about you?

The time when I was four and tried to relieve myself on the stairs. Charming.

    3. What’s something you know you do differently than most people?

I eat dinner foods for breakfast. Especially Mexican foods. I love it.

    4. If you just won ten million dollars, would you quit your job?

Yeah, I would. I'd quit my job and use a small amount to get a degree at the college of my choice, to get a better job post grad. Then, I'd put 60% of it in the bank, use 10% to pay down the student loans we've already acquired, and use the rest to live off of/ finish putting DH through his doctorate program.

Then, we'd dig into that ONLY IF WE HAD too, if not, we'd put it into an annuity and let it acquire interest and be millionaires again when we retired.

What's going to happen after I die?

    2. What story does your family always tell about you?

They always tell the one about my kindergarten report card that read: "S is very sweet, but it would be helpful if you told her to stop bossing us around."

    3. What’s something you know you do differently than most people?

I peel EVERYTHING off my orange segments, like this:

Let's Get To Know Each Other! : wedding ice breakers welcome meet friends Supreme8

    4. If you just won ten million dollars, would you quit your job?

    Yes; I'd open a bakery/tea shop.

    3. What’s something you know you do differently than most people?     MY BEAUTY ROUTINE UN THE MORNING, GOSHI WISH I WAS A MAKEUP ARTIST

    4. If you just won ten million dollars, would you quit your job?  MOST LIKELY NOT BECAUSE I LIKE THE IDEA THAT THERE IS STILL MONEY COMING IN BECAUSE THAT MONEY WONT LAST FOREVER

    such a good idea!

    1. If you could know the answer to any question (besides “What is the meaning of life?”), what would it be? Why do young, healthy people die? I know morbid, right?

    2. What story does your family always tell about you? Tough one, but it would have to be the time when I was in first grade with chicken pox. My dad was filming me. I was pissed and had an attitude. I told him that the questions he was asking me was "baby stuff" and so he asked me a harder question.  It was, What is 87 + 4? And I said 31.

    3. What’s something you know you do differently than most people? I put tupperware in the dishwasher

    4. If you just won ten million dollars, would you quit your job? I would quit my job knowing that I have the security. But I would find a nother one that I enjoy

    1. If you could know the answer to any question (besides “What is the meaning of life?”), what would it be?

    Who was Jack the Ripper?

    2. What story does your family always tell about you?

When I was 4 I had a major obsession with the Little Mermaid. One day my mom decided to put it on for my sister and I and got in the shower. Well, my sister, who was 2 or so decided to scale the floor to ceiling bookshelf in the living room that was right next to the TV. She found a piece of glass on one of the high shelves and put in her mouth. She cut herself, was bleeding and screaming. When my mom asked me what happened I had no idea... I had been singing the Little Mermaid theme song and not paying attention to any of it.

    3. What’s something you know you do differently than most people?

I take apart and section everything I eat. For instance, I take apart Twix bars and eat the caramel first, then the cookie. If I had a plate of rice, chicken and veggies I would eat one thing at a time and won't mix foods. The rice would have to be done before I ate any chicken and I wouldn't touch the veggies until the chicken was done.

    4. If you just won ten million dollars, would you quit your job?

Nope. I would buy myself a BMW M3, a couple of pairs of Loubies and probably a house. The rest would be put away in savings and I would keep on keepin' on.

@.twist.: lmao at counting to three. My dad used to threaten to call Santa Claus and in the springtime he would threaten to call the Easter Bunny. My parents said it was hilarious how much I would freak out.

@Mrs.KMM: That is a really good question!

    1. If you could know the answer to any question (besides “What is the meaning of life?”), what would it be?

Is my life heading in the right direction? (As in will I be happy with where I end up from the decisions I am making)

    2. What story does your family always tell about you?

I don't have just one specific one. I tend to be clumsy, not embarrass easily and speak before thinking it through ("blonde moments"), so my family loves to focus on all those when I am the topic.

    3. What’s something you know you do differently than most people?

If I don't check my alarm multiple times in a row I can't get to sleep, I eat candy that is colored in certain orders. I most likely have more.

    4. If you just won ten million dollars, would you quit your job?

Absolutely. If I got bored I would look for one later on.

    1. If you could know the answer to any question (besides "What is the meaning of life?"), what would it be?

How could I personally make the most difference in the world in my normal life?

    2. What story does your family always tell about you?

When I was 2 years old my grandparents had a stray white cat that used to hang around in their backyard and I adopted it and named it Kitty Meow Meow and would play with it all day and put it down the slide by itself, carry it around with me by the stomach. It really was hilarious now that I watch home videos!

    3. What’s something you know you do differently than most people?

I sit down on the floor to blowdry my hair every morning. I do it with my head upside down and read at the same time.

    4. If you just won ten million dollars, would you quit your job?

I'd definitely quit this one. I would also taking culinary arts classes and open a bakery.

    1. If you could know the answer to any question (besides “What is the meaning of life?”), what would it be? why do people drive like assholes?

    2. What story does your family always tell about you? they always tell people how i would beg to go to bed when i was little and they would tell me no (jokingly) and i would cry hysterically. (dont children usually cry to stay up later?)

    3. What’s something you know you do differently than most people? i'm probably not the only person who does this but if i eat anything that involves ketchup packets rather than putting it in a pile on my plate to dunk stuff in i squeeze a little onto whatever im eating before each bite.

    4. If you just won ten million dollars, would you quit your job? yes! 10 million is a lot and if invested right you could live off 10 mil. BUT im the type of person who needs to be doing something so i would find something i love to do - i would say peace out cubicleland! its been fun knowing you.

Am I going to have a good night at work tonight or is it going to be so insane I have a nervous breakdown again?

    2. What story does your family always tell about you?

All I can think of are stories that my family tells about my sister! Embarassed

Oh, probably that when I was 7 and my sister was 5 my 13 year old cousin came to live with us.  We used to follow her EVERYWHERE because she was so cool and we wanted to be just like her! Poor thing, all she wanted was to be left alone and her annoying little cousins kept bothering her.... She likes us now though! Laughing

    3. What’s something you know you do differently than most people?

When I hiccup it actually sounds like I'm saying "hiccup!" It's so weird and I can't help it.

    4. If you just won ten million dollars, would you quit your job?

I would quit one of my jobs in a heart beat.  Not sure about the other one.  I work at a family business that I would like to stay involved in, and hopefully be able to pass it down to my children at some point.

I was a total shit disturber. Everytime my mom would tell me no to something, I'd go and do it regardless and I used to destroy the house with baby powder and nivea cream hahaha.

    3. What’s something you know you do differently than most people?

When I was 3 we went to a family wedding and a big bunch a family members all sleept in the same house. Apperantly at 2am I would not go to sleep and kept crying and saying I wanted money. To shut me up my mom ripped pieces of newspaper and handed it to me. I am told that I knew it wasn't realy money and demanded real dollar bills.

    1. If you could know the answer to any question (besides “What is the meaning of life?”), what would it be?

Honestly, I'd like to know if there is life after death.

    2. What story does your family always tell about you?

edit: thought of a better story. I was a super quiet kid and always sat in the back of our van. I was so quiet to the point where whenever my family was loaded into the van and started driving away, my dad would constantly stop for a second, turn around, and say "Is _______ here?" But, this is a total contrast to anytime I had some sugar. Though my family loves to tell people my dad always worried they would leave me at home because I was so quiet, my family also loves to tell the story of the time I had some soda at the mall and started going around on my hands and knees barking at random people.

    3. What’s something you know you do differently than most people?

I'm not really sure. All I can think of right now is that I'm a a morning person and I have a really hard time sleeping past 7 or 8 am... even if I had a crazy night before and didn't get home till 4 am.

    4. If you just won ten million dollars, would you quit your job?

Definitely, but I teach ESL and I imagine I would probably be traveling a lot... I would likely pick it up again wherever I was if I got bored.

    1. If you could know the answer to any question (besides “What is the meaning of life?”), what would it be?

where do all my missing socks go?! they go in the dryer together and come out a single sock. I dont get it. :)

I would also like to know more serious things like, will the world ever end? what happened to the dinosaurs? what happened to amelia earhart (sp?)? are there aliens? and if yes does he gov already know and just not tell us common folk?  so many i can think of!

    2. What story does your family always tell about you?

the time when i was a kid and made a video with my neighbor of us dancing to the lion king. I still get threats from my mom that she is going to post that video on youtube or fb.

also a video of me with cake all around my mouth and my mom asking me if i ate cake and me denying it over and over again. i was about 4 i think

    3. What’s something you know you do differently than most people?

    4. If you just won ten million dollars, would you quit your job

yes i would. I would pursue a career that I actually wanted to do and wouldnt worry so much about how much money i made. I would devote my time to enjoying my sons childhood first though. I hate that I have to work and be away so much from him.

    1. If you could know the answer to any question (besides “What is the meaning of life?”), what would it be?

    What happens after you die?

    2. What story does your family always tell about you?

When I was 3 I sang in front of a crowd of 3,000 people

    3. What’s something you know you do differently than most people?

    Where do I even start...

    4. If you just won ten million dollars, would you quit your job?

I'd probably start my own business so I could work for myself and have something to leave for my daughter when I retire.

What is on the other side of a belly button?

    2. What story does your family always tell about you?

I was a pretty boring child, behavior wise. My grandpa showed me pictures of him brining me to a petting Zoo and crying because I thought the animals were scary. Now I own farm animals...go figure!

    3. What’s something you know you do differently than most people?

I have to google just about everything I think of. and I clean my ears every day. I'm earwax phobic.

    4. If you just won ten million dollars, would you quit your job?

I would pay off all my immediate families debts ( school, medical, home , etc) and make sure everyone had running and safe cars. Then I would buy another investment property to set up more income and put the rest in savings and investments. I would try to live within the means of the rental property incomes  so I could be a missionary abroad and live out my days serving others instead of big corporations and prominent countries.

    1.  Question I'd like answered:  At what age will I die?  Similar to FutureKMM I'd like to make sure I leave with no regrets or nothing left on my "Bucket" list.  (After getting the answer to the question I guess I would then have to create a "bucket list".

    2. Family Story:  There is actually a picture which sums up the story.  This is the first time I ever realized I don't OWN a copy of the photo.  I HATE to have my picture taken. At age 4 my brother and I had to get "formal portraits" at Sears or an equivalent department store.  I threw a fit.  In the photo -- copies of which were given as Christmas gifts to my family -- my eyes are still brimming with tears. There are "tear stains" on my jean dress. Worst of all I am wearing a red purse.  Yes, WEARING a purse.  I refused to take it off.  I'm wearing it over my neck.  Not on my shoulder or even diagonally across me.  Just hung over my neck like a noose.

    3.  I don't have a facebook page.

    4.  I would still work (at least part-time) but not at my current job.  I would like a job I that makes a positive contribution to the world.
