Mine shocked me last night. He folded clothes.
Now that doesn't sound unusual but we don't live together. He knew I was busy after dinner getting my son ready for bed (school night) and the man folded clothes for me to free up more time.
It's little things like that which make me realize I love him. Silly little things he does that shows how much he does care.
Awww. That's sweet. Ice cream rocks! What flavor?
I also forgot. Two weekends ago when I was getting over a horrid cold, he brought over a dozen long stemmed roses. Just because I'd been sick the previous week.
Here's another coming: Awwwwww! :)
My love bought me a new Columbia winter coat today because I mentioned I needed one :-)
We get the big Ice Mountain waterbottles with the really weird cap that doesn't completely come off. About half the time I can't get the darn things open so now my guy always opens them for me whenever he brings me one. :) I love how he always remembers and does it before I even have to ask.
Red Sox Green Monster - it's mint with fudge swirls and chocolate 'sox'. amazing - but probably a New England thing :)
My Fi went shopping with me all day on Sunday and bought me a beautiful Swarovski bracelet I had been eyeing to wear for the wedding! It's their version of a tennis bracelet--and it offers a lot of sparkle and shine!
Nothing fancy, but he sent me a text out of the blue today simply saying "LOVE U". I'm sure lots of girls get these regularly, but FI isn't one of those guys that does things like that all the time, so on the rare occassion that he does, it makes it so much more meaningful and special :)
I got called into work unexpectedly sunday morning and when I got home he had bought me a bottle of wine and a snuggie *true love*
Mine got me a dozen roses and a card for our one month anniversary! And he rarely brings me flowers.
FI does so many sweet things it's hard to name just one, he's always doing something! I usually purchase the art pieces for the house, but this weekend, FI and I fell in love with a fierce steel piece from an upcoming artist, so he bought it for us. He picked up Chinese food for my sister and I on Halloween before he went to his get together. He found some sparkling cucumber water at the store today and bought it for me, because he knows I love cucumber! I completely wigged out day before Halloween when my contacts started to mess up (was wearing costume lenses, they're a lot larger and painful at times), so he dropped everything he was doing to run into a store to buy me contact solution and a case. He filled up my car with gas last night so I wouldn't have to get it myself this morning. He's an angel :)
FI got an extra day off this week so he spent the WHOLE weekend with me instead of with his friends like he could have!! Yay!!!! He normally gets thursday and sunday off, but this week he also got saturday off. It was awesome because we were jipped out of our beach day last weekend.
FI went to boot camp class with me at the gym tonight. I was intimidated to go to this first class so he came along. I was cracking up as he was high stepping and rocking the moves. It really helped, I think I can go by myself next week!
Yesterday, I was really upset over family issues, and aside from letting me cry on his shoulder, he hopped right into action trying to figure out a solution. He also helped me with laundry today. He came up to me and randomly gave me some sweet kisses today while I was doing dishes. He's just amazing all around. :) sounds like everyone has some amazing men!
We were cooking dinner the other night and he put on Michael Buble, our favorite, and we danced in the kitchen. I couldn't stop smiling!
@gloss, that was our dessert the other night, best ice cream ever!
Mine made me lunch today. I had the yummiest sandwich complete with jalapeno havarti cheese. Mmmm. Oh and let me trade my apple for his Rice Krispies square. LOL, it's like we're 8 years old again.
Mine bought me this beautiful necklace for my birthday last week!
And, last night..I was fussing because I didn't have time to clean after this weekend and our house is messier than usual..and he couldn't sleep so I woke up to a clean house because he cleaned it till he got tired.
There are a million more probably, but these are the ones that pop into my head at the moment.
Oh this is so lame, but he helped me look up fonts for our STDs tonight :) Romantic, huh?
He does a lot for me. Most recently he's cooked me a lot of meals because I've been sick :)
Mine is sick... but he still offers to help me in the kitchen! I made him go rest though (and made him soup)...
He also offered to ride along in the car to go to the store today. I think it made both of us feel better, he got to get out of the house and I had some company!
I've got a list today...he bought me a new Jack Johnson CD, surprised me with flowers for me and my little girl and then cooked dinner (which he actually does every night). I feel so lucky.
Most recently? He ate my experimental dinner, without even flinching. And then he took seconds.
And then he cleared the table for me :)
Not only is he sweet, but he's brave too, haha!
Mine is currently picking up backing soda at the store so I can finish writing a grad school paper. Guess I shouldn't be here if I'm suppose to be finishing my paper :)
My Fi just booked our hotel and played our trip this weekend in Philly! I'm so excited!! And he just brought me new post it tabs from work (I'm way too organized)!!
My FI has really been a champ lately. I'm crazy busy with grad school, and he has been totally picking up my slack around the house. Grocery shopping, cooking dinner, picking up the clutter, washing the dishes.....what a fantastic guy!
Other than proposing last week? :)
He was actually very sweet last night too. We got home from vacation LATE last thursday night, and I spent Friday getting costumes ready for our halloween party Friday night and editing some photos. Then we had the party Friday night. then we headed to my parents' place early saturday morning for the weekend. By the time we got home last night I was exhausted and burnt out from traveling/being busy/not being at home. While I laid on the couch and worked on photo stuff he (without even saying anything!) did three loads of our laundry from vacation (we don't even live together!), unloaded my dishwasher, and took out the trash. **swoon**
I think he's a keeper!
Mine did the dishes. We have been together 5+ years and living together 2+ years and it's these small things we do for eachother that mean so much :)
I have been really sick, so he brought me home a big bouquet of flowers after work. The bouquet is yellow and purple, he said he picked bright colors to cheer me up =)
I live in NYC and was teling my FI how I haven't seen a Broadway show in a while. I've been busy and haven't wanted to spend the money...but then he went and got us tickets for a show next weekend! And we're sitting in the second row. I'm pretty excited for our date night :o)
@carrie.a.s.b: I'm in grad school now too and my FI is picking up my slack as well. Isn't it great?!
Mine cleaned the bathroom right now because we made a big ol' mess in there getting ready on Halloween. Too hungover to clean it up yesterday. Also he forces me to study...although I hate it when he does it its for the best. Soooo sooo close!!!
Today he brought home lilies. And a coconut meringue pie. And a grapefruit..? Sometimes it's better if he doesn't go to the grocery store :-) All joking aside, it was very cute.
Mine sent me a flower arrangement because of the crap I've been dealing with at work. :)
My FI is always doing something good for me:-) Yesterday he went and picked up discount tickets for me and my MOH to ride the new light rail downtown to the bridal expo. He's folding cothes right now! I guess I should go help him! LOL!
My guy cut all of the vegetables for the pasta primavera that I was making for dinner before I got home because he knew I was tired. (That's a big deal for him. haha) And he just got me another glass of wine and asked if I wanted to trade glasses with him because he has more than me. :) It's the little things, right?
Mine is deployed (We both are Military) right now, he works LONG LONG days but still will stay up later yet to get on the computer to talk to me. Recently sent flowers for the HALF WAY mark saying "Halfway there, cant wait to see you, Love you!" Awww!!!
Breakfast in bed on Sunday morning, along with a perfectly cleaned kitchen and all of the clothes I folded put away. (He can't fold worth poop, I can fold a 6' mound of clothes in about 20 minutes. Yay for years of retail).
He's so sweet.
Oh, and bought me Hello Kitty stickers. :)
And shopped with me for 3 hours without complaining. Held crap, etc. I took him to the videogame store for a reward afterwards. lol
He's so patient on a daily basis- that's sweet when you consider how much of a handful I am. Also, he always tries to buy me flowers when we go to the grocery store... I always tell him no, but it's still sweet. He's not big in the way of out-of-the-ordinary gestures, but he's so sweet and kind every day, I feel like it makes up for it.
