Do you have a ring picked out: My ring was close to what I picked out but not exactly what I wanted. He got creative. For my wedding band there is NO changing it around. Its an eternity band, prong set round stones, all the way around and 2 carats total
What are you most excited to plan/diy after you're engaged: I think the most fun part is the fact that our marriage is a kind of a secret. We are planning a party and no ones we are getting married at the party. They think we are totally against any kind of wedding or any formal ceremony. Its our joke on everyone and we LOVE it!

What are you most excited to plan/diy after you're engaged: I can't wait to go dress shopping and purchase the boy's gift of cufflink lockets with a picture of his dad in one and his grandpa in the other (both of them passed away)

Do you have a wedding date already: We had one that wasn't 100% official. But his work required it to be pushed back, and then for our whole timeline to be pushed back. I don't know when we will finally pick a date, and I worry that even then his work might cause a reschedule.
Do you have a ring picked out: We narrowed it down to 2...I think.
What are you most excited to plan/diy after you're engaged: I'd love to be able to officially ask people to be in the wedding. After that, I think trying to get some basics decided on (location, church ceremony yes or no, type of reception, colors, etc.) so I can start looking at specifics.

@crebre: I plan to get them some fun necklaces on etsy but other than that I haven't really looked too specifically yet. Probably some bags of some sort and I might try to make them some stuff if I find something awesome enough. Those wine glasses are so cute (I may have just found them so I'd know what you were talking about), but unfortunately all the bridesmaids I plan on having will actually be 18 or younger (kinda weird I know, but they're all family and I love them too much to not pick them).

Do you have a wedding date already: Only an ideal one in my head 12.5.12... But I'm from the UK so for you guys it's 5.12.12 - 12th of may 2012! I still have 1 and a half more years of uni and then I want a year to plan and save money after I graduate So 2012 is perfect. I'm a little obssesed over the symmetry of the date and it needs to be May because I want it not to rain on the day or be too cold so it's needs to a spring/summer wedding but I also want to go to the Maldives for our honeymoon and May is the end of the Maldives seaon... june or july would be monsoon season.

Do you have a wedding date already: We were thinking August of 2010 or 2011. It just has to be during the summer, or early fall. We want an outdoor wedding, but live in Ohio. The weather around here can be very weird.
Do you have a ring picked out: I love 3 stone princess cut rings. I'm not picky though. The ring has been "bought", he got it on a layaway type program. It's almost paid off. For all I know he could have already paid it off. I am so impatient.
What are you most excited to plan/diy after you're engaged: Honestly, I can't wait to be a family. I work at a high end event center, as landscaper, so I can get tons of ideas for free. I want to be an event florist, and am doing my own flowers. Occasionally I work in our floral department when they need me. I think that will be so much fun to plan, and then do my own.
