Which designer are you giving the honor of saying yes to their dress?
And are you doing anything different fashion-wise than you did before when you married previously?
I am def not wearing white. I look pasty in it. It's not my color. Never was and I can't pretend it will ever be really. I am seriously looking for something in a rum pink color or a gold or platinum.
Here's one I love. Comes in the pinky color I heart! Martina Liana! This dress is sooo me!

Oo Bellenga, it's a gorgeous one! Can we see any pictures of you in your beloved rum pink color?
WOW!! That is gorgeous!!!
Here's mine...totally me. My first dress was big and princessy...while very pretty, just not me!

That's my MOH with me. My hair won't be up like that either.
@Bellenga: Beautiful dress and the pinky color looks amazing with that material!
@WDWBride: That dress was one of my finalists, I love it! And it looks amazing on you! What brand is the bridesmaid dress? It's just what I'm looking for!
@MissNoche: Thanks!! I love my dress...it's actually Ivory but shows up so white in that pic. The bridesmaid dress is from David's Bridal too!
Oh I think everyone has seen mine, LOL. I am at work so I do not have access to most of my pics. Should I post my ALMOST dresses as well? Ha Ha
@Bellenga - your dress is to die for. I am seen so many amazing pink/blush gowns recently. I love the the bridal industry is branching out!
@WDW and bluespurrs - gorgeous!
I think I could look at wedding gowns all day.
Bellenga- I LOVE your dress!!! So elegant!
I'm sure you've seen mine before, but who gets tired of posting their dress? LOL!
Belle... STUNNING! Love the color, fabric, all of it. I was determined to find a Tiffany Blue gown, but it was not meant to be... I selected a lovely organza Watters beauty... it's ivory.
Mine is SO different from my 1st time around dress. The first one was a huge poofy ball gown with a cathedral-length veil. My "encore" dress is the opposite!
I'll try to post pictures of both. I only have a handful of pics for the encore dress (all in horrible lighting during a fitting). The one I'll post from my first wedding is one of only a few I have left - I'm dancing with my brother and he's in full uniform. :-)
Posting fail - ergh - here's a link to the encore dress:

@arizonabride... i just love the back of your dress, love the dress in general but as the guests usually spend alot of time looking at the back of a brides dress during the ceremony, its stunning
Thanks, eloping! I had some second thoughts for a while, but I'm over it and back to loving my dress. The fabric shows every curve so I just need good undergarments and a lot of ab work and I'll be fine!
Thanks, WDWBride! I was so glad to find something with sleeves, since it's December. :-)
Not an encore bride, but failed engagements... this will be my second dress so i'm posting lol... this is mine, it's la sposa fanal, but i'll tweak it to have the shoulder and bubble hem of the pnina tornai that is attached.

For my vow renewal next year, I will be wearing Priscilla of Boston Style Jules. I have not figured out how to post pictures on this site, but here is a link to see the dress in action:

I wanted something different and classy for a 30-something mama like me.
@az: now since i get the thingie out on friday let's see if i can't drop the 30 i have gianed so i can actually look great in it ;)...
@chocolate delight, i just right click copy and then paste it into the post.. but it doesn't work with the flash...
I have to say this...the Martina Liana is the #1 dress I'm looking at, nothing will be final until two things have happened.
1)15 lbs gone and
2)my ring is on my hand.
That being said, the rum pink is def my color! And the gold.
I also gotta say that I love that La Sposa gold color..that's gonna be good on you Crebre!
Peyton that second dress is awesome too! I love that dress! Justin Alexander has some very lovely lines to his designs.
And Arizonabride? You look STUNNING in that gown..both front and back!
Bluespurrs I of course loved your vintage look as well!
Beachybride? I got some good news for you..several of the Martina Liana gowns DO come in a blue color..soft blue. Gorgeous color! So go check their site out..I think they're the couture version of Essence of Australia.
I'm also lovin' their two look dress...one with a detachable skirt which makes the dress turn into a short dress for the reception also! Check that one out!
@Crebre80 - Thanks for the tip on posting pictures.
@PeytonL79 - Thanks for the compliment. My mom and I went dress-shopping and when she saw that dress on me, she declared that it was the one for me. Who can argue with Mama?
@PeytonL79 - Check you out. I love Justin Alexander wedding dresses. You are going to be a HAUTE bride in that sexy dress!!! LOL. . .
I want to do the gold/champagne/dark ivory color too. Have some ideas of dresses - here's what is in the running or at least is my style so far...
very pretty querida!!!
@belle I love that gold color it's so rich and I look great in gold (i mean i'm not tooting my own horn or anything like that lol) but it really does bring out the golden undertones that are in my skin... i hope it is more champagney than it looks on the picture though...
@bell - Thank You!
@crebre- Good luck tomorrow! Let me know what happens.
@Querida- That gown is beautiful!!! Is it Amsale?
@az:better believe I will!! I am nervous that something will happen though and they won't be able to remove it easily... let's hope my worries are unfounded.
Hello All! I am getting married for the second time (first time 21 years) on May 7, 2010. I just bought my dress this weekend. Its a silver Maggie Sottero and I love it, but do have some anxieties. I did not want white and fell in love with this dress. I am just hoping it does not end up too drab. My daughter will be my MOH and H2B's son will be best man. I would like the guys to wear black tuxes. Any ideas for the MOH's dress color and give me your honest thoughts on the color of this dress. Im tough, I can take it, lol! Thanks for your input!
First time was more what I thought a bride was supposed to wear and it was rented because I was trying to save us money (we paid for our wedding, being the oldest of 7 children, my family could not afford to pay for our wedding). The dress was designer (Vera Wang) and beautiful; but, not my dream gown. I settled for what everyone else told me I looked beautiful in. It was beautiful though!!! This time... I'm doing what I want to do. The Grace Kelly. That's my gown. Vintage, classic with a twist of modern by adding satin to the mix. Custom made, unless I find a designer that has already made my gown. Some of you have seen my Grace Kelly. I found something I like to call my fantasy dress. It's beautiful, but a little more than what I'm going for. The second picture is what the Mister wants to see me wear. LOL!!! Very modern. He loves my long legs (I'm 5'9" and most of that is legs), so he wants to see them. LOL!!! Maybe the after party dress, I told him. LOL!!! What do you ladies think?
Wow, some really stunning dresses!!!!
@WDWBride, I have to tell you, your dress is still my absolute favorite and I wish it looked half as good on me as it does on you. I'm in love with it, and it's perfect, and unfortunately it looks awful on me. It looks breathtaking on you. Just more proof that each dress is meant for each bride.
@FutureMrsDuff- Thank you so much!! I love my dress and when I tried it on my mom and Moh preferred another dress. I am so glad I stuck with it...your comments are very sweet :)
@91011...U totally have to rock that 2nd lace dress maybe for the reception!!! love it!!
I am so not sure what I'm going to wear. I have so many ideas and have written about so many gowns, that I've fallen in love with many. I know I'll be incorporating some cultural aspects to my wedding and might change into another gown for the reception. Not sure yet. I'm really waiting until I get the ring to get serious about this planning. I'm just adding stuff to my research file. Here are two looks I like.
@chocolate delight. AAHH!! That dress is so perfect. Super trendy, fashion-forward amazing-ness! That's a picture I'm going to be printing off. :) Good find.
Gorgeous gowns!
I'm going to begin the hunt in a few months! Can't wait! Getting weight off first! (I'm a stickler for this stuff).
This is a new fave for me...
Priscilla of Boston Vineyard Jewels..

This one is Davids Bridal 9Sml9790... Just like with rings, I have no idea what I want lol!!

I think you are gonna be one bride who will have to try on tons..or maybe wait till your venue is secured to see what fits with your style of the day! You ARE a wedding style guru!
@belle: LMAO I know!! There is another one that a bride is selling in my hometown, she was so cute she emailed asking if he'd asked the question on Christmas too!! lol!!! The price for hers is pretty good, but I think it'll be slightly too big, but it comes with a cathedral length veil which is awesome :D... I hope I'll be able to have a shorter engagement so I will be forced to make a decision and quickly move on to the next one. Or else it's trouble lol! I can see myself waiting for MONTHS to choose a dress or a venue.
