What are you using for your cake topper?
We're doing a Swarovski crystalized H!

We've got unNaked peggies! :) They just came in the other day so I'm so excited. They're tiny in real life! Like, no bigger than a cell phone - that surprised me. But FH and I adore them. I commissioned them off Etsy from nakedpeggies.
this is the inspiration for my cake as a whole....this pic belongs to another bee...i can't quite remeber her name...i downloaded it so long ago from off the classifieds.
I have this exact cake topper...i added all the crystals by hand
our cake will look very similar to this one except there will lots of apple red accents...apple red roses on each corner and on top so it looks like the monogram will be sitting on a bed of roses...the crystal cake banding we chose has both clear and black crystals in it...our them is apple red and white with black and white damask....and the crystal banding will be laying on apple red ribbon.

We're rolling w/a Fall theme but with sprinkles of Halloween (getting married Oct. 29th) so this is part of the Halloween theme. I'm sure my mom will hate it but I love it.

We didn't do a cake topper. We just had flowers on top of our cake. I just couldn't find the right topper. They were all either too cheesy or too exspensive. So we skipped it.
We chose the bride and groom couple where the groom is lifting the bride up into the air - shown about half way through this Youtube video on best wedding cake toppers

This is my cake topper. It was sooo much work, but I hope the people will go crazy, when they see them!
It's not finished yet (need to mount the mini-mes on a plate and need to paint the tie of my FI, but I want to wait until I know the definite color)

PS: I think we're the only ones awake now ;).
:) I'm awful at clay sculpting and things so I just asked FH if he minded us getting them done for us. He loved the peggies so it was a natural choice.
Haha, we totally are the only ones up. Also, randomly, I'm from Germany! And you're getting married the day before us. How weirdly random :)
WOW! Unbelievable! You're right, we're getting married at the (almost) same time - so we'll be going crazy at the same time ;). At least we have our cake toppers by now :)

Oh my gosh, all of these make me so excited to get mine. My FMIL is making ours for us (she's a sculptor). Eeeeee, can't wait.
msMonicka: wow I love that monogram! I wish I could find one like that without adding all the crystals where did you get it from?
I love this bird cake! It's not the correct colors for us....I would change the branches to a softer gold/tans, and the flowers will be lighter pinks. I also HATE the nest on top! What do you think of a floral topper? Or maybe just a big spray of white hydrangeas? I love the quirkiness of this cake. Thoughts?

We initially weren't going to have a cake topper. Our cake was very simple, and I suddenly freaked that it looked too plain without something and I didn't want flowers, so I ordered this from Etsy!

This is ours! It's "Promise" by Willow Tree. We though it was original, then when we booked our photographer, it turns out the last 5-7 weddings he's photographed all used this one! ha!
MsMonicka...SWOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love bling and I am going to have it everywhere...we're having a Friday evening wedding and the sparkle will be so awesome!! I LOVE THIS CAKE!
These are awesome! Our cake topper was a fly fishing bride and groom. My husband is an avid fly fisherman, so this was perfect for us.

This is ours! They're from www.nicolewclark.com and I love them! As you can see, I am using them as our table numbers too, inspired by Mrs. Stiletto.
Anyone else just going the flower route? I love everyone's cake toppers, but doing bride and groom cake toppers (even if they're totally adorable and original) just isn't us. We're going to have some nice orange mini calla lilies on top of our cake instead.
We're going with Etsy seller thesmallobject and are going to incorporate our dog and three kitties into it.
