I love asschers but ultimately ended up with a cushion cut. I was actually in a jewelry store where the guy was trying to convince me that there was no difference between asschers and cushion cut. I had to draw him a picture to tell him he had no idea what he was talking about!

@Kings7911: I love my Asha! πŸ™‚ It’s absolutely ‘real’ looking, if you are looking for something that is similar to a diamond. It’s the closest thing to a diamond that you can get.

I found these on betterthandiamond.com:

Do you mean the cut?
I have an asscher – not sure of the carat (around 0.5 I think) and ring size 6.5
DH hand picked the diamond, and had a custom setting made for it with two hearts! I absolutely love it because I wanted a ring that ‘didn’t sparkle a lot’. I love how much depth it has!!

@sherryberry: Thank you! He did have a lot of help though! πŸ˜‰
I was so shocked when we went looking at rings, that NO ONE (and I mean no one!!) had any asscher cuts in their store to look at! Some of them said I was crazy and that no such thing existed – that I MUST be talking about a princess cut because that’s the only square cut of diamond! It was ridiculous – some of these stores were quite high end as well!
In the end he went with a family friend who owns a very successful shop, and got to handpick everything out himself (including the little diamonds!)
