Love this thread! I don’t have a pic right now but I want to dig one up 🙂

Your mom looked beautiful! I really love the veil!

This is my mommy and daddy on their wedding day. My mom was 16. They were married for 50 years. They both passed in 2005. One week apart. I love and miss them.

Her dress was tea length and looks like she is wearing a little jacket. I’ve never seen the dress. Have no idea what happened to it. Looks like she has a cute little cap veil too. Sooooo pretty.

Aww, I don’t have a picture of my mom’s wedding online. She got married in 1967 and made herself a cute little mini-skirt A-line dress, long sleeved.

Night before the wedding, her mother let out the hem in the middle of the night and didn’t tell her until it was too late. It was still short, but not SHORT. lmao. Moms!

This is the only photo I have on this computer of my mom’s dress (tho it is technically a photo of a photo lol) 🙂 She and dad got married in 1983, and according to my aunt who does historical costume stuff, it is a near perfect replica of an Edwardian tea gown.

I am about 3 sizes bigger, and 4″ taller than her so I don’t think there’s any way I could wear her gown, but I think it was beautiful.

The aunt I mentioned has possesion of the dress currently so she can accessorize it for a steampunk event!

My mom married my dad in 1989. Her dress has some really pretty lace detailing on the skirt, but this is the only photo I have of it. My grandmother kept it, but my mom weighed about 100 pounds and I’m 190, so there’s no way I can wear it.

i don’t have an actual picture of my mom in her dress but this is similar.  it was 1965 and she wore a white dress suit (very jackie kennedy) with a pill box hat and veil.  this pic is very close to the hat she wore.

when my mom saw me in my birdcage veil she mentioned that it reminded her of what she wore.  i told her that’s why i was wearing it.  as for the little single bow on her hat, i had a single bow on my dress.

Here’s my mom on her wedding day with her dad.  It was 1966.  I looooove this dress, but unfortunately she rented it for $50 and had to give it back.  I have been inspired by her veil, however, and it’s the same style but mine has a little less layering, and only comes to my shoulders.

My parents celebrated their 47th anniversary this year!  Woohooo!!

I do not have a pic of the wedding dresses my Mother wore (she married multiple times). I do have one of my Grandmothers. 1904. Yeah I was the youngest child of my Grandmothers youngest child!

My parents got married in 1987 and my mom looked stunning, the most beautiful bride I’ve ever seen. Her dress was from Kleinfeld in Brooklyn (but now it’s in NY). She was way too tiny for me to even think about wearing her dress but here she is.

@MrsSkeletonKey:  Aww thank you so much. That is definitely a compliment because I just think she is so beautiful.
