I'm going to get these, inspired by gig posters.
http://www.sourismariage.com/2009/12/i-am-thoroughly-delighted-with-this.html
Here's mine! I went letterpress! This isn't the actual invites, this is the proof that I got sent to me :)

Those are beautiful Lees! I especially love the envelope treatment.
Here is my inspiration from Invitations by Gina (photo belongs to them)...

and heres what I created for us after taking their sample apart....

i have so many inspiration images, but here are some of my favs. Still don't know what i'm doing for all paper products.

Thank you @Abbee!!!
@Krissy: Those are BEAUTIFUL invites!!!
@krissy - I love that frst one you posted!! That vellum invite is amazing!
@Lees, @ColorCoated- thanks buds! i can't remember where i snagged either of them (i've been collecting inspiration pics for a year now!) but these 2 are beauties!!
i still don't know what i want to do!
You're welcome girl! I totally think you should do something like those pictures...they are lovely! You would get lots of compliments on those :)
Oh boy, I am all over the place when it comes to my inspiration. Sometimes, I'm obsessed with all things damask,

sometimes I love letterpress and other texture-adding techniques (gah, I wish I was as talented as this bee at embossing!),

sometimes I'm adament on having pocketfolds and other envelopments,
etc. etc.
Lately, I've found inspiration in these:
Granted, this is only inspiration. I just got fell in love with the idea of silhouettes, and since my theme is classic puppy love, I figured I wanted to try and tie in dog silhouettes! I love how, in this set, the bouncy ball kind of ties everything together.
Here's an example of dog silhouettes.

Ideally, I would like to use these at the top of the invitations, still have a damask border to the invitations and a classic font. Letterpress would be heavenly, but it would def. break the budget. *Sigh* I'm still leaning towards some type of pocketfold, but if it's out of the budget, I'll live.
Both of these are lovely, but I'm still undecided. The top one is from minted.com and I forget where I found the other one.

These will be our invitations from Printable Press. The only difference is that we're removing the "wished on a star" part and the script will be in pink and not red.
Our wedding is going to be a casual garden wedding with a light literary theme.

They also designed our escort card/bookmark to go along with the invitation suite.
My inspiration: The crystal chandelier
@color coated- holy crap I love those!! Too bad my wedding is NOT that modern!! I am going to combine the dandelion print on the black invitation to go on the other invitation and then make the colors match with ours...greeen and yellow!

@clarebee I looooove those!! I've been looking for something that's not a pocket fold, but still a way to hold the pieces together. The ribbon across the top is such a neat idea!
@color coated - thank you! I love them too! I just ordered the sample the other day and it will be getting here soon - I can't wait!! They are from little lady bug press on etsy! I havent actually started the process with her, but I have emailed with her and she seems really nice to work with!
my dream invitations by paper design ink... and it will be customized for me!!! the colors are going to be different and they are putting my artwork instead of the flower--- it is a picture my fiance drew on a note when we first met. i will post when i have it in hand.
there are other beautiful invites on the website-
they are pricey but worth it!
So many gorgeous invitations on here ladies!!
I loved the wooden invites that Oslo Press had. And I loved this heart from MS Weddings. So I combined them.
Gosh. These ARE gorgeous. All. I'm kinda relieved not everyone is DIY! I was feeling kinda guilty and inadquate about to order mine 'cause I was beginning to think all the bees were diy (hehe). A few random questions 'cause I'm loving script these days too for the names especially:
krissybee-- what script font is that for your names? gorgeous
and Abee -- do you know the script font in the second invite sample? though I like the first one from minted.com better! thanks.
Here are mine! I love the colors! We are going away to be married & having a reception when we return
@joebeth - i felt the same way that maybe I should DIY - but then I realized that it is NOT worth it to me! I just dont have the patience to sit there and do all of it and I know that I would be very hard on myself about them not being perfect!! I am happy because I will be able to customize my design and have it made by a professional!
I'm in love with these letterpress babies from Elum, but I haven't decided if I really want to shell out the cash for them, or try some DIY fun with my Gocco.

I saw these here on the Oh So Beautiful Paper Blog before and bookmarked them. I love them because the paper size is so different!
