I feel your pain as I am a 38L!  A suggestion I received from a custom bra store was to have the cups sewn into the dress, which I am told is a common solution.  I am going to try it when I have my first fitting.

    Good luck!

The only option with my dress is a strapless bra.  I’m just planning on hitting the gym to get rid of back fat before June!

My bra is a long line but the seamstress is taking some of the boning out as there is boning in my dress because the back of it IS a corset.  She is also making snaps in the bra and the dress so that the bra won’t ride up and be seen at all….love that idea!

I’ve got a sewn in long line in my dress – very thankful for that as it will eliminate any gathered lines that a bra might create so there’s a nice, clean look, Plus it’s comfy and it slims my belly a little. And my bosom looks spectacular, if I do say so myself!

Anyway, I highly recommend a long line bra. I used one when I was trying dresses on 2 out of the 5 places I went and could definitely see the impact it made.

I am only a 34 Dirty Delete but my seamstress recommended that I get sew in cups. It cuts down on the bulk of a long line. If you need tummy or back control try doing a long line with a body suit. Most body suits are made of synthetic material so they naturally wick away sweat.

I’m a 38-40F and somehow fit into the 42Dirty Delete bustier at David’s Bridal, so that’s what’ll be under my dress.

@Lyndzo:  I am a 48Dirty Delete and I am wearing a 48B long line bra.  The sizes are CLEARLY different!

I am a 40Dirty Delete and I think I’m going to wear a long line bra.  Plus I’ll wear spanx too, I think.  I really want some tummy control and I have a regular waist cincher (no bra attached) but I feel like it might be annoying to wear a straless bra and then have that gap before the waist thingey.  Spanx will just be for a little extra control of the lower tummy.  Which I may not even need because my dress is a-line.

I have a few I’m considering, but I’ve been losing some weight (down 20 lbs so far!) and I’m waiting until I’m closer to the fittings in April.  But here are the ones I’m considering:

    Bra 1

    Bra 2

    Bra 3

    Bra 4

(I hope the links work, I can’t view them at work)

I wouldn’t be wearing strapless except that I have found the greatest one ever!!! Soma Intimates changed my life with their strapless bras and actually keep the girls up where they belong!

I’m having soft cups put in my corset top of my dress!
