@StarIzInkd:  I’m on Ortho Cyclen, I’ve been on other BC Pills and haven’t had a problem with any.

I’m on Sprintec BC pill. I hate it and want to switch back to Ortho LO. I am miserable the first two days of my period. The only reason I switched to Sprintec was because it is so cheap. Now that birth control is free I think I’ll switch back.

We use condoms, every time, no exception, and it’s been over 2 years with no babies. I plan on finding an OB/GYN (last one I saw was really off-putting) and going on the pill soon. We did have one scare when I went 8 weeks without a period, but it wasn’t due to any b/c failure.

I was on Ortho Tri and it made me bruise. I visited my husband (then boyfriend) for three weeks and it literally looked like I was a domestic abuse victim. I had bruises all over my face, my torso, my arms & legs. Any sort of bump would turn into a massive bruise. They took weeks to go away, and when I had blood drawn my entire inner arm turned black.

I’m on Cryselle (Generic of Lo’Ovral) and I love it. No weight gain, occasional bloating, super short periods & no cramps, and no bruising!

True story, I’m going in for the Paragard IUD. We don’t want children for 8-10 years if at all, and every. single. birth control. ever. makes me moody, hormonal, emotional, crazy, gives me acne, and most recently has been giving me yeast infections and bacterial vaginosis! It has been hell on earth!

So Paragard IUD, good for 10 years, no hormones. Done and done.

I LOVED the NuvaRing!

Can you ask your gyno to prescribe it, instead of your primary?

@StarIzInkd:  I’m on Gildesse 1/20, and like it so far. I was on LoEstrin24 but they stopped making it.

I’m on Sprintec and love it! My boobs got two sizes bigger and no side effects! I know the exact hour my period will start and I can take them for multiple months at a time if I want to.

I’m on Trivora, but I’ve taken a few over the years and none of them bothered me really.

🙁 So sorry, maybe PMS pills will help.

I have the Mirena IUD, and I like it a lot. I have little to no symptoms (I honestly can’t tell if it’s the IUD because it’s all so subtle), I no longer have a period (though I did have it lightly every few months for the first two years), and I LOVE how I don’t have to remember to take anything every day. The insertion sucked, but it’s worth the 5 years of protection.

And even though I’ve never been pregnant, I didn’t have any issues with finding a doctor to insert it.

@StarIzInkd:  Could you find another doctor at the practice to prescribe you the nuva ring? Or go to planned parenthood?

I have been on Tri-Sprintec for years and I have no problems. But what works for me might not work for you.
