i would like to try something like that, but knowing my body i would have my period for 3 months!!!!!

Last time i took the shot I bled all summer, so that didnt work, tried about 13 different kinds of bc for 10 years  and finally found one that i loved, my mom took me off it [i was young] back then haha. because it was extremely high in estrogen and there were more risks with it, though the was the only pill where i could tell you what time id start on which day, then i went thru another 4 bc’s and none of them worked, i was either very moody and extremely depressed.

Was going to get an IUD but SO for some reason doesnt like it. [ whatever]

Now i have found a BC [ linessa] that ive been on for 6 months and i love it! Though my face has never been perfect i do get those monthly pimples every month…and i also dont like how when its period week at the end of the month i wait til Thursday to start, then i have to start taking the new pack Monday, but no complaints other than that lollll

TiaMP:  I also have the Nexplanon! I’ve had it for a 1.5 years and I love it about the month 3-4 my period went totally wacky! Pretty much on and off for about a month and then leveled out. Now some months I get it some I don’t but its super light just for a few days. I recommend it to everyone! So far my most annoying side effect have been my acne. Now let me start by saying I have horrible acne I always have nothing has worked. I found my back-cne and arm acne has ramped up because the hormones are closer to my upper body. it’s starting to level out to my “normal” but it’s still there.

Anything involving implanting and needles just gave me the heebijeebies, so that was a no go for me. I was on the pill for about 2 years when I decided the side effects weren’t worth it for me. I was nauseous ALL the time. And I was getting bad migraines too (both things that I never had problems with before). I also did some research and didn’t really feel comfortable with what HBC does to the woman’s body (personal preference). So right now we’re using condoms and I’ve been trying to chart. At first it was easy but now I keep forgetting to do everything. Haha. But we’re planning to TTC in a few months anyway.

I have  the implant after using other methods (The pill and shots – I’ve had two children mixed in between)  and it literally changed my life.

I have no period now, gained no weight and I have nothing to remember! DH had the ‘snip’ last year but I love it so much I will probably continue it!

Theres side affects to every method, but if you are looking for a long-term, reliable method I would recommend the implant (called Implanon in Australia) whole heartedly – love it!

I tried a few different pills in my early twenties, everytime they turned me into a psychopathic bitch after about a week.

I was diagnosed with Bipolar Disoder when I was 24 and learned that this is the reason the pills sent me off my rocker…. So, I can’t take the pill, and condoms make me REALLY itchy so we don’t use them either. My only option is a copper IUD which doesn’t release any hormones. I can’t use ANY kind of contraceptives that are hormonal 🙁

I guess our only contraceptive is the pull out method.
