I have five dogs (four live with my parents, one with me) that I’ve had since I was young. My SO and I recently got our first pet together, a stray kitten that I found. I love all of my pets probably a little bit too much because I’m pretty introverted and love hanging out with them!

EDIT: Forgot that I also have a bearded dragon. How could I forget him!? He’s pretty awesome!

@DuckEBee:  The little guy looks like he would be your baby! 🙂 He reminds me of my little dog who is a miniature pinscher. They have very similar faces.

@DuckEBee:  Me too! People think I’m crazy. I have had people invite me to hang out after work or classes, and I’m like, “nah, my dog needs to be walked!”

I’ll play! I’ll play! I have a one year old calico kitty named Nyla. She was a real Godsend after my last cat died unexpectedly of a blood clot. It was so sudden and traumatic because she was a young cat, and I wasn’t coping well. Two days after, my landlady emailed me and said that a local vet tech had rescued this adorable calico kitten who had been left in a ditch. I went over to meet her, fell in love, deliberated to see if I was ready for a new cat, and brought her home a few days later! She is the absolute sweetest cat ever. She loves snuggling and is extremely tolerant of anything – I can trim her nails, pop pills down her throat, etc and she never bites. She’s been a wonderful calming influence on my parents’ cat, who is also a rescue and has some mental issues from what we think is past abuse.

I love my little fur baby so much, and so does SO! I mean, she won him over to the idea of indoor cats, so that’s a win ^_^

We have two kitties (Malcolm and Wesley) and an absurdly long-lived betta fish called Rafael!

@DuckEBee:  haha the bearded dragon is a ham and the uromastyx is a shy guy who hates getting his picture taken (he’s giving me the look of death there)!

@DuckEBee:  We have a 2.5 year old Corgi, named Foxie (we call her Fox Box). She’s the best thing ever, and we rescued her from Miami about a year and a half ago. She’s just so great, and has so much personality. I don’t know how she’s done it, but she’s really brought my SO and I closer together. Whenever she senses tension in our voices if we’re starting to get annoyed, she gets very upset and sticks her nose in our face like “what are you doing?! cut it out!”, and she’ll bark/whine. She’s always excited to see us, and there have been a few times when she’s licked away my tears. Sometimes I get really stressed, and I’ll start crying. My SO will say “Foxie, go make mom feel better” and she’ll jump in my lap, look at me like “what’s wrong?!” and lick my face, and won’t stop licking it until all the tears are gone. I love her.
