I used music from The Piano Guys – they are incredible pianists and cellists that play recognizable songs from the genres that you listed, but with a twist! They generally don’t use lyrics, so I really liked that for the prelude.

20 minutes is about 5 songs (at least if you pick anything from the 90s forward)… that’s not too bad. I’m definitely using the song from Twilight – mind you I didn’t even watch the movie but I LOVE this song – A thousand years by Christina Perri.

NYE2014:  there’s a version of that song (a thousand years) by the piano guys – that’s what we walked down the aisle to! I love it – it still gives me goosebumps. I had no idea about the twilight connection until later though. It’s a beautiful song.

I told our DJ I wanted music like Somewhere Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World, the Hawaiian version. Later I added in things like Plain White T’s – 1, 2, 3, 4. I don’t know what music he played, but I’m sure it was great 🙂 later I found out that the SWOTR/WAWW started playing right when my coworker and her husband walked in to the ceremony site AND that had been their song at their wedding exactly 6 years before! So, they entered our wedding to their song on their sixth anniversary!

NYE2014:  For sure! I used the song for the entire processional. I had it roughly figured that there was plenty of time for the parents and bridal party to make it down the aisle with the big swell of music near the end for my entrance. And it worked perfectly! Lovely song.
