I really liked the detail on the back of my dress and didn't want to compete or cover this detail. I chose an elbow length sheer, no frills veil for that reason.
That looks stunning PinkSparklGrl! It's soft and elegant. Sinci the bodice of my dress is in lace, i chose this veil with lace trimming.
My gown is cathedral length, so I am matching that with a cathedral length veil. I also love the details on the back of my gown and am going to wear a plain veil with edging.

Oh heres mine.. It has a beaded edge that matches my dress!! Its just 1Teir and the perfect length! OH and thats not me thats a manniquin lol!!

not using a veil...using a fresh flower detail in my hair instead...it will probably be windy and I just don't want to mess with one even though they look really pretty...
I'm a fan of simple and elegant. I'm really not into fills, beads, sparkles or any of that stuff - it's just not for me. So with that in mind, my veil is a chapel length 1 tier sheer bridal illusion veil....that's it! No blusher, beading or edging. I really want a simple, sheer long, veil. My mom and I are going to make it!
i am obsessed with cathedral veils! I think they are gorgeous and so dramatic...I am debating if I am going to have mine with a lace trim or without. My grandmother had a beautiful cathedral length veil when she married my papa in 1946 and ever since I saw her pictures, I knew mine had to be similar!!
Just wondering how wide to get the veil? There is 54" and 72".. Anyone have any photos of these two different widths, in Chapel or Cathedral?
I made my own veil!
I wanted super simple because my dress is quite elaborate!
So mine is a cut edge veil, 1 tier (because I wanted to see the detail of my dress through it) and 72" gathered because I wanted it to mirror the shape/fullness of my dress, fingertip because I thought it suited the dress the best!
does anyone have real pictures of someone wearing this veil?

I plan on wearing my hair to the side with lose curls...can i still wear this veil in the traditional place near the top of head...or would i have to wear it lower ...
