We are doing a rosette cake in buttercream frosting, red velvet, white chocolate cream and white chocolate chips. its the best cake ive EVER eaten.

We are quoted $600 for 155 guests (however we will be having a 3 tier cake along with a sheet cake in the back lol, same cake!)

i dont have a photo of the cake but this is what it will prob look like.

I was thinking about making a thread just like this! Posting to follow. 🙂 Below is the cake I want. I would love it in two tiers, three tiers max, plus sheet cake. We are planning on about 80 guests. I would love lemon-raspberry or vanilla-raspberry cake! Any clue how much it would cost?

This was our cake! It was $750. Each tier was different. I honestly cant remember them all, one was lemon with a strawberry filling, and one was vanilla with raspberry. But I don’t remember the other two, I didn’t get a piece from those tiers, and the tasting was SOOO long ago. lol. But we had 150 guests, and plenty of cake left over, not including the top tier.

My cake was a 3 tier buttercream for 75 people with 3 different flavors: almond with apricot preserves, lemon with marionberry jam, and chocolate with bourbon espresso buttercream. I bought it using a Gilt deal and a 25% off promo code, so it was $280 plus $50 delivery fee.

@Barbiestylez:  If you don’t want to spend $600 or $800 on a cake, don’t! Getting an affordable cake isn’t impossible. One thing I discovered is that bakeries are just like wedding dress stores- there are a wide range of options. Plenty of grocery stores make wedding cakes, as well as private bakers you can find on craigslist. You can call the fancy bakery you like, and ask them what they could do for $400. Decorating with fresh flowers is like 1/10 the price of sugar flowers, and in my opinion, even more beautiful.

Also, you don’t need to overbudget for cake. My 75 person cake was freaking delicious, fed 85 people, and I still had half the bottom tier left over.

@Barbiestylez:  We had a 90 cupcake tower with a top tier and identical anniversary cake. They were chocolate with vanilla frosting and were delicious. We paid $135 for everything because we knew the baker and got a discount. All the flowers you see were edible/hand crafted as well (including the ivy). We also had a smore’s bar that was $1 per person.

FYI, I don’t think 50 extra servings is necessary, especially if it is pricey per slice. We had 20 extra cupcakes and 80 guests attended. Just something to consider if you want to cut your budget down.

@Barbiestylez:  I’ve read good things about wedding cakes from a store called Publics. They don’t have them near me but maybe they do where you live.
